Greetings friends! Today I am pleased to present you a series of photographs that I took yesterday at home, because it is about product photography and it is a type of photography that I never usually do because it has not caught my attention, however yesterday while I was sitting at home I saw a "MATE" that I had bought a few weeks ago to have for decoration and a stones that we had brought from the river on my last trip .... It was then when I had the idea to make a small composition with those tools and carry out this mini production.
Mate is a typical drink from Argentina where herbs are placed inside the glass, hot water is added and nothing else, some have sugar others prefer it bitter, for those who know it you know what I'm talking about and for those who don't, I'll tell you here it's called Mate Argentino.
I decided to paint the stones with Viking runes to give a better appearance to the compositions since the mate I bought is shaped like a skull, with 3D printing. Here are some pictures of these selected objects.

Hoy me complace presentarles una serie de fotografías que hice el día de ayer en casa, pues se trata de fotografía de producto y es un tipo de fotografías que no suelo hacer nunca ya que no me ha llamado mucho la atención, sin embargo ayer mientras estaba sentado en casa ví un "MATE" que había comprado hace algunas semanas para tener de decoración y una piedras que habíamos traído del río de mi último viaje... Fue allí cuando tuve la idea de hacer una pequeña composición con esas herramientas y llevar a cabo ésta mini producción.
El mate es una bebida típica de Argentina dónde se colocan yerbas en el interior del vaso se le añade agua caliente y nada más, algunos llevan azúcar otros lo prefieren amargo, para quienes lo conocen saben de qué hablo y quiénes no pues acá se los cuento se llama Mate Argentino.
Decidí pintar las piedras con runas vikingas para darle una mejor apariencia a las composiciones ya que el mate que compre tiene forma de calavera, con impresión 3D. Acá algunas fotos de estos objetos seleccionados.
For these photos I didn't have an external flash or the camera's flash, I simply raised the ISO levels to 3200 and took the 55-200mm lens, looked for a dark place in the corridors of the building and proceeded to set the scene according to what I had in my mind.
I downloaded an App on my LED lights phone to get some lighting in various colors while on the other hand I used the flashlight from another phone, so I had some light from both the right and left side.
These are some of the first results...
Para éstas fotos no dispuse de un flash externo ni el flash de la cámara, simplemente subí los niveles de ISO a 3200 y tomé el lente 55-200mm, busqué un lugar oscuro en los pasillos del edificio y procedí a armar el escenario de acuerdo a lo que tenía en mi mente.
Descargué una App en mi teléfono de luces LED para obtener algo de iluminación en varios colores mientras que por otro lado utilice la linterna de otro teléfono, así tenía algo de luz tanto del lado derecho como del lado izquierdo.
Estos son algunos de los primeros resultados...
After seeing the first results I got excited and decided to do other tests with the stones I mentioned and in addition to that I wanted to try with other colors, other tones like green, blue, and also I also decided to light a cigarette and place it under the skull, thinking that maybe the smoke could come out through the openings and give me more attractive results.
I was right but I think I needed 5 more cigarettes hahaha 😂 or maybe a piece of dry ice now that I think about it but hey.... It was a spur of the moment thing and I didn't have time to organize it had I imagined it before.
Here are some other results applying the above mentioned.
Luego de ver los primeros resultados me entusiasmé y decidí hacer otras pruebas con las piedras que mencioné y adicional a eso quise probar con otros colores, otros tonos como el verde, azul, y además también decidí encender un cigarrillo y colocarlo debajo de la calavera, pensando que tal vez el humo podría salir por las aberturas y darme resultados más atractivos.
Estaba en lo correcto pero creo que necesitaba 5 cigarrillos más jajaja 😂 o tal vez un pedazo de hielo seco ahora que lo pienso pero bueno... Fué algo improvisado y no tuve tiempo para organizarlo de haberlo imaginado antes.
Estos son otros resultados aplicando lo anteriormente mencionado.
This is the first time I've really encouraged myself to do this type of photography and it has given me the courage to do it again with other types of items or products that I could buy especially for this, maybe a mini studio specialized in product photography with black and white backgrounds would be perfect.

Ésta es la primera vez que realmente me animo a hacer este tipo de fotografías y me ha dado ánimos para hacerlo nuevamente con otros tipo de artículos o productos que pudiera comprar especialmente para ésto, quizás un mini estudio especializado en fotografias de productos con fondos negros y blancos estaría perfecto.
