When you've got treasure on your doorstep

Being grateful

I've a lot to be grateful for.

Sometimes I forget that, but I truly do and need to remember to actually BE GRATEFUL.

Life can be short. Fleeting. Every day is a blessing. Sit up and smell the roses, they are everywhere if we're open to seeing them and smelling them. A stranger's smile. A sunset. The rustle of leaves beneath our feet. The simple. The banal.

Something else I have to be grateful for is our beautiful home and it's location here in Galway.

We have nature right on our doorstep and have great options for walks and fresh air.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow and bringing my three sons to Tubbercurry to watch Moycullen playing in the Connacht Quarter finals of the club Championship.

It's a boys trip.

We'll leave early and have lunch in a nice restaurant before the match and then hopefully watch Moycullen prevail in a good game of football.

Now, back to nature. Here are some nice photos from a walk back in the later months of Summer.
