Three Tune What now?

Right, Ok, now for the benefit of new readers, every Tuesday I pick three songs, sometimes all three from the same artist, sometimes three tunes from a particular genre, other times three songs from a certain country - you get the idea. I've always asked others to get involved and over the past few weeks, that is exactly what's happened, and we now have some ThreeTune regulars which is fantastic! The ask is to basically choose three songs to share. You can sing them or hum them or just pick three from an artist you love like I do, which is what most people do each week.

Again for the benefit of new readers, are you new to Hive? Are you struggling to get support on those first posts of yours? @riverflows has loved the Beastie Boys since day one and she has the vinyls to prove it, she shares her three favourites with us this week after watching a documentary on them recently. She like me may have three different faves next week, next hour, next minute, that's how it goes.

Jiro Inagaki & Soul Media feat. Sammy - Wandering Birds @dbooster

If it's jazz you want, it's jazz you'll get every week with our very own Japanese Jazz guru @dbooster. Strap yourself in for more funky groovy tunes from Japan.

Debussy - Clair de Lune @galenkp

@galenkp is a bit of an all rounder and even has some good quality piano playing in his wheelhouse, this one he could play blind folded with both his hands tied behind his back, back in the day.

Jackie Wilson - Lonely teardrops @mypathtofire

I was of course familiar with Massive Attack's tear drop and the Womack and Womack classic, but the others on the theme of Teardrops, not so much, so thanks to @mypathtofire for sharing these four with us.

White Zombie were new to me and I must say this is a great track, well worth a listen.

How can I describe this music? Mesmerising is probably the word, there is just something about those hand pans and why Bangladesh are dressed up in vegetables I cannot answer!

Is it shoe gaze is it dream Pop? Does it matter? Nope, not for me, just good auld tunes that please my ears. Nice one Sage.

Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors - Find Your People @nickydee

@nickydee always has her finger on the pulse for decent tunes and this week was no different, cheers Nicky.

Howlin Wolf - Evil @whywhy

Howlin Wolf!!!!!!! Yes sir..... Quality stuff and never a surprise to get a good injection of good tunes from the man who keeps the Tune Tune Riddle train on the tracks week after week!

Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music @bozz

The Bozz man has some seriously funky music for us this week, go check em out. They are proper floor fillers for weddings and the like.

Boulevard Of Broken Songs - Green Day ; Oasis ft.Travis ; Eminem @hanselmusic

@hanselmusic brings us three mashup songs this week. What's a mashup? Multiple songs layered together, listen to the one below and you'll soon know if you like it or if it hurts your head. For me, it's a bit of both!

Thin Lizzy - Whiskey in the Jar @tengolotodo

How can an Irish man not include Thin Lizzy in a best of the week, more like best of the century. I love Thin Lizzy and so does Ed by the look of it. Great band, great man.

Dion - The Wanderer @killerwot

@killerwot's songs are all inspired by computer game Fallout this week, and I must say they are all right up my street. Nice one man.

Memories of Home @wwwiebe

Now, let us close out with a trip back in time with our very own @wwwiebe who likes to bring us tracks from the 1920s.
