It's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

Tuesday is here again, which can only mean one thing, another three tunes from me and hopefully from lots of you good folks too. How are all of you music loving rockers from Castlebar to Cairo doing on this fine evening? Sure, isn't great to be alive all the same.

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 89th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find three or five hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week eighty nine recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Anyone Irish will of course have heard of snow patrol and for some, it may not be their cup of tea and that's fine. They are a band hailing from Northern Ireland and Scotland and they were big in noughties. I have always had a soft spot for them to be honest, there is just something about Gary Lightbody's voice that I have always admired.

This particular song will always remind me of my Granny, as it was playing regularly on the radio when she left this world, and she was what we call in Ireland a legend. The word legend does get bandied around, but my Granny was a pure and utter legend, a one of kind character and I still miss her dearly almost twenty years on. She lived with us for the last ten years of her life, so my siblings and I knew her better than anyone.

Snow Patrol - Chocolate

Another favourite of mine from Northern Irish crooner and his pals from the North and from across the sea in Scotland. This one comes from their breakthrough album Final Straw I would be interested to hear how many of the international tuners have heard of Snow Patrol and what your thoughts are on the band and the songs. They are a litte more Poppy than what I usually listen to, but as I said, there is just something about their sound that I like.

Snow Patrol - Run

Ok, I'll leave you folks with this last tune, again from 2003 album Final Straw. It is hard to believe that it's twenty years since I first heard this, jeepers that makes me feel old! Enjoy the song, laters.

ThreeTune Spotify Playlist

Our good friend and regular Three Tune Tuesday poster @blackdaisyft added some tunes to a playlist in the early days and there are around 600 tunes there which is class. You can check those out here:

My name supported these chaps shortly before they hit the big time! We always laugh because one of our songs we had at the time is strangely similar to chasing cars which they wrote after we played together. Lol. My claim to fame, the bastards stole our song 🤣

No way man!! The absolute, no good, thievin bastards! Ye could have made the big time! What were they like, sound lads, or cocky wankers?

They were alright, a good laugh although the singer dude Gary was a bit aloof. Its hard to remember as I tended to get quit pished after we played and a bit before :OD

Snow Patrol, ah magic band!
And I see 7 HSBI now, damn I just updated my graphic to show 6 just now and then a sneaky seventh from @wwwiebe , Welcome to the sponsors clud Victor!

I am a sneaky little thing indeed! 😁

Ya decent band, and always a soft spot for them as Chasing Cars reminds me of my Granny.

such a great band and their first album was pure gold!

Is that Songs for Polar Bears or a different one?

nope this one is the one I mean lol https://open.spotify.com/album/04O25B9YwJRS5fIT3llZFI?si=J-LjqFl6T8KVddJYclAvDg their second album

Ah right ya, I was thinking that's the one ya meant, great album.

ye had to get it out and listen to it last night with the mrs

Nice one, music is deadly that way. You csn almost forget about an album and playing it can transport you back

yep that is the one, awesome album!

I'll have to give this a listen to remind myself, nice one

I would be interested to hear how many of the international tuners have heard of Snow Patrol and what your thoughts are on the band and the songs

Uh, they are on the radio regularly in (North) Germany. Never knew the band name though before.
But all three tunes I've listened to before. I like them, wouldn't change the station :-)

This particular song will always remind me of my Granny

That is a good thing. I think most people have those certain tunes that remind us of the ones we lost. Cherish those memories.

Ah, very good, so they were big internationally too, interesting and thanks for the kind words, indeed songs can transport us back twenty years in the blink of an eye and memories with more than one sense can be that bit more vivid too.

Music is the language of the soul

I've heard Chasing Cars many times and love it. It was a part of the soundtrack of the tv show Charmed way back in the day and I doggedly tracked down every song ever used on that show. I hadn't heard Chocolate - what a great tune!

I never knew that about the show Charmed - clearly I have never watched it :)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and have an auld listen to my songs and musings for the week, much appreciated.

Snow Patrol always brings back memories of travelling in 2002 in Europe. I think someone I knew had the CD and somehow I ended up with it on my mp3 player. It wasn't really my thing but I was swept up by it. But it was this one that really grabbed me.

Cool memories, and music was so different back then, in so far as you bought an album and on plays 1,2 and 3 you thought it was pretty good, and by plays 12,13 and 14 you loved it. These days everything is more instant gratification, so I do try my best to listen to albums at least twice if I am unsure on first listen, afterall it is only the very best albums that you love from first play. Great shout on The Reindeer Section, nice shout that, lovely song.

It's a good one. Jamie still hates it.

Sure it'd be boring if we all liked the same things.

You cant beat a bit of Snow Patrol. Nice one. !LUV

Cheers auld stock, more power to your elbow!

Snow patrol chasing cars listening to the first beat, I was , oh that's familiar! And yeah it was but didn't know the song title as I often heard that, before. Didn't got a chance to know the lyrics as I was deprived by it before, lol..

Ahh, if I where to choose, I really prefer music in 80's till early 2000.

Thanks by the way, now I know it's Snow 🚓...

Ahh, if I where to choose, I really prefer music in 80's till early 2000.

I know what you are saying, but that is because only the good stuff is remembered, there was plenty of shite out then too, but only the good stuff lasts. Same thing now, lots of shite, but some good music too that will stand the test of time.

It's my first time seeing the Snow Patrol. I love those songs. You chose great selections for this week.

Thanks a million and great to see you stopping by to check out my tunes, I had a feeling you would like them alright.

Chasing Cars! A classic from an excellent British alternative rock band that has worked very hard.

Ya Snow Patrol were massive for a while, I wonder what they are up to now?
