Here are my week one hundred and thirty one recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Kings of Leon - Comeback Story

This week, I'm dipping back into a playlist for some inspiration, but this time, I'll dip into a different playlist to unearth a few tunes for the week. This time I will travel back to 2020 when we were locked down here in Ireland with that dreaded pandemic. I suggested to a Whatsapp group which has cousins, siblings, uncles and aunties. Everybody would contribute 3 to 5 songs each and I would collate them in a nice little playlist.

It turned out great and these next few songs bring me back to that time when we all had to stay apart, but through music and communication we managed to stay together in a virtual sense. I'll get things going with Kings of Leon. I saw these guys live once in The Stadium of Light in Sunderland in the UK and it was quality gig, even though I far preferred their earlier stuff on the first and second albums.

Right then, let's kick things off with the Kings of Leon and Comeback Story.

"I walk a mile in your shoes. and now I'm a mile away. and I've got your shoes"

I love that line man. Great chorus.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Tear

Who doesn't like a bit of the Chilli Peppers? I grew up with these guys being played in the house by my older sisters and as such Anthony Keidis, Flea, Chad and John will always have space in any playlist and any party. This song did not end up on the playlist courtesy of me though. It was not my sisters either. It was a cousin on mine and it was a good shout.

The Chilli Peppers are another band that I have seen live at a festival in Ireland and another time in Dublin. The festival was unreal, as my friend was working on the stages and setup and had 4 pit passes, and I was lucky enough to get one. We were in the pit for RHCP and Green Day and I got within a few metres of the band backstage too. I was in my friends Jeep and we were stopped to make way for a little van and out jumped Anthony Keidis, Flea, Chad and John. I shit you not! It was fuckin cool man. I was tempted to jump out and try to meet them, but my friend convinced me that it was not a good idea!

A few years later at another Gig we were backstage getting free pints thanks to my friend and one of the lads went missing for a few hours. He was beaming when he rejoined the group later on. He had been boozing with David fucking Grohl from Foo Fighters and Nirvana. Yep.... Lucky fecker, he said he was pure sound and down to earth.

The Cranberries - Ode To My Family

This one was a fitting one given that it was a family playlist and even more poignant given that the glorious and beautiful Dolores O'Riordan has left this place and is not doubt singing songs on high. I really like this video and song. It is special. I love the juxtaposition of young and old throughout and the call out to her Mother and Father. Precious. I am lucky enough to still have both with me, but they are not getting any younger, which reminds me that I will have to call over and see them, which I will do this evening or tomorrow. Thanks #ttt for giving me the reminder to do so.

I was lucky enough to see the first two band live, but unfortunately I cannot add the Cranberries to that list, I never saw them, but I certainly appreciate their music. Sure, it would be hard not too, Dolores has one of those haunting voices that everyone can appreciate I feel.

Three Tune Tuesday

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 131st week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Wow, those are definitely some amazing memories! I can't imagine now cool that must have been! Nice selection of songs you shared here as well!

Thanks auld stock, yep, great memories of great bands and artists

I'm a big fan of Kings of Leon as they were my band when I lived in Germany probably the best time in my life. I used to run to one of their first albums called AKA Shakeheartbreak and I loved running to them. Made me feel great during the long german summers. I put the album on there and so many great memories.

ya man, AKA Shakeheartbreak and Youth and Young Manhood are there best stuff in my opinion, before they went stratospheric and became a bit more polished and radio-friendly..

Comeback Story is new to me. The album By The Way by the Red Hot Chili Peppers I think I listened to it once in its entirety, of the rest I always listen to the same 5 songs, the ones that were singles and On Mercury, but after this I think I should look it up and listen to it once more, what good times come to my mind bro, the year 2003 was one of my favourites in music... Ode to my Family is not my favourite Cranberries song, but I feel that like Zombie it's one of their most representative songs. Your selection today is excellent bro...

Ya RHCP have some quality albums, Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Californication being the two best for me..

loving the tunes. thanks for hosting again. O.O red hot chili peppers and the cranberries very classic

Nice one man, cheers as always for stopping by

Great picks this week! 🎸

Cheers dude!!! Can't beat the tunes eh..

All three are fantastic songs! Those are some great memories! The only one of the three I've seen were the Chili Peppers, they were opening for Oingo Boingo and it's how I got hooked on their music. That was way back in the 80's!

Great picks!

Oingo Boingo eh.... Never heard of these guys, but if they had RHCP on their undercard as support, they must be worth checking out. What album would you recommend as a good starter?

Either "Good For Your Soul" or "Dead Man's Party", both great ones. Can't recall which has Only A Lad, that's worth a listen too!

Nice one man, next long car journey, I'll give those a go

Hey, I like the second and the third one because they are bands I know very well. The first one I didn't know, but I liked their rhythm. Thanks for sharing it.

Cool, maybe check out more from Kings of Leon, I have a funny feeling you will like what you find..
