Ding ding ding, here comes a new week full of hope, change and excitement and I hope your ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home.

Tuesday is here again, which can only mean one thing, another three tunes from me and hopefully from lots of you legends too. How are all of you music loving rockers from Gweedore to the Ghana doing on this fine morning? Sure, isn't great to be alive all the same like.

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so lets roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 65th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday. It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing and that playlist that @blackdaisyft is updating (when she gets time) has ripped past the 600 mark that I mentioned before and at the last count was at an mightily impressive 639 unique tunes and trucking steadily towards 700. Thank you for doing that by the way daisy, when you do find time, as I like throwing on the playlist from time to time reminding myself of all of the sweet tunes that have been shared down through the months - Good on you.

Weekly, I try to find two or three hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has lead me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and fins some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tags that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week sixty five recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

People Under The Stairs - Montego Bay

You guys are well aware that I am a genre surfer and what better place to bathe in the waters of musical diversity than right here on Three Tune Tuesday. Each week I get to surf through the various tunes shared from countries from four or five different continents usually, which is so sweet.

My own tunes are regularly from the genres of rock and alternative rock, but it's good to keep things mixed where possible, so this week, I have gone for a rap group called People Under the Stairs, a rap duo from Los Angeles, California. I spent two summers in LA while in University and got into their music while I was over there. They would not be all that well known, but I really like their sound, so said I would share it with the good folk of Three Tune Tuesday today.

People Under The Stairs - Acid Raindrops

People Under The Stairs is made up of Thes One and Double K or Christopher Portugal and Michael Turner to use their real names. They were doing it thereself before that was even a thing, MCing, sampling, mixing and experimenting. Here is one of their best outputs in my opinion, it's called Acid Raindrops. The guys cite Freestyle Fellowship, The Pharcyde and Jurassic 5 as influences and you can hear those influences coming through in their tunes.

group employed a DIY work ethic of sampling, MCing, DJing, and producing all of their output

J Boogie Feat People Under The Stairs - Movin To My Beat

This last one is not a pure People Under the Stairs song, but more of a mash up between J Boogie and Thes One and Double K from People Under The Stairs. This one was released way back in 2003, which is nearly twenty years ago. TWENTY YEARS AGO!! Holy shitballs batman, that's a looooooooooooooooooooong time ago, even though it doesn't seem like it when you say 2003 - yep definitely getting older!

Sadly we will never hear another People Under The Stairs new release, as they released their final album Sincerely, The P. in February 2019 and Thes One revealed on social media that it would be their final album. After twenty one years in the industry and fifteen albums, they were finally hanging up their boots and unfortunately there can never be a comeback, as Thes One met his maker on January 30, 2021, Rest in Peace man and thanks for the tunes.

ThreeTune Spotify Playlist

Our good friend and regular Three Tune Tuesday poster @blackdaisyft adds the ThreeTuneTuesday songs to an ever increasing Spotify playlist occasionally when time allows. You can check them out here:

That bloody classic haha, Nice.
I am making my entry asap

Nice one, thanks for the kind words and looking forward to catching your tunes whenever you join us.

They are new to me. And I don't consider myself a big fan of rap in general, but this sounds really good, and I like them. Thanks for sharing :)

Nice one, delighted you enjoyed the tunes, especially as someone who is not typically a fan of rap. You see there is loads of shit rap and overly crude rap out there, but there is some genius stuff out there too. I lkike to give all genres a chance if at all possible.

I agree very much, and I also like to give a chance to all genres. I never close my mind when it comes to music. Even reggaeton, which I don't like at all, I give it a chance from time to time. ;) Happy weekend :)

New tunes, I don't recognise these, and will be listening today, cheers for these!

Excellent man, glad to have introduced some new tunes to you.

Yeah and am glad that you did!

I quite liked them. I always think a good beat behind the rap is what makes rap good and those lads seem to have that
