Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home.

Tuesday is here again, which can only mean one thing, another three tunes from me and hopefully from lots of you good folks too. How are all of you music loving rockers from Pollaphuca to Pretoria doing on this fine evening? Sure, isn't great to be alive all the same. Yet another week this week, where we have gone above 30 unique Three Tune Tuesday posts and man oh man, that brings a serious smile to my face!

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 72nd week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong. It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find two or three hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has lead me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week seventy two recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Neil Young - Harvest Moon

Neil Young dawned on me as a worthy Three Tune Tuesday at a wedding I was at recently. It was a very special wedding actually, as it was my baby sister's wedding and it was a day, in fact two days to remember. What an unbelievable weekend full of love, promises and celebration. During the ceremony my niece played Harvest Moon on the ukulele and it was so beautiful, that straight away I knew at the back of my mind that Neil Young was the artist that would feature in this week's #ttt so here we are.

Neil Young - Old Man

Hop aboard my time machine my Three Tune Tuesday friend. Buckle up, this might take a while - we're off to Massey Hall, Toronto in the year 1971, yep that's right we are heading back over fifty years to a time when the supremely talented Neil Young was spritely twenty five years of age and had only recently written this song about an Old Ranch Hand who helped run the ranch when he bought it from a couple of lawyers and I can bet you that he didn't evict him, I'd like to believe he let him stay to live out his years, he's that kind of a guy.

Ok, sit back now and enjoy the song, I've included lyrics below for the few that this one may be new to.

Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.

Old man look at my life,
Twenty four
and there's so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two.

Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things
that don't get lost.
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Lullabies, look in your eyes,
Run around the same old town.
Doesn't mean that much to me
To mean that much to you.

I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But I'm all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.

Neil Young - Like a Hurricane

Let's finish out our set with this one from 1976 album American Stars `n Bars and also featured in the greatest hits album Decade. It is one Neil's personal favorites and has been played on almost every tour Young has embarked on across six decades. He is one that I have yet to see live and I may be running out of time, as the great man is 76 years young.

I remember listening to an interview with him on Sky Arts about this song before and it is about him becoming obsessed with a woman at a bar, who did not reciprocate his feelings, it was around the time that his relationship with Carrie Snodgress hit the rocks and shortly before he met his wife Pegi Morton. He explains that the lyrics below came to him that night and he wrote them down, but would not finish the song until later on with the help off, ahem, some white powder.

“Once I thought I saw you in a crowded hazy bar
Dancing on the light from star to star”

He remembers exactly where he was, he was out with a friend and after snorting cocaine in the back of his DeSoto Suburban he jotted down the words, or most of them at least, then over the course of a couple of weeks back at the ranch, he and his band “Crazy Horse” figured out the composition. The big man was recovering from throat surgery at the time though, so it would be a few months until they recorded it and released it. Now let's have a little listen, shall we...

Nice one!! Really appreciate the support.

Credit where credit is due, Neil Young is a legend, although personally I am not a fan of his voice. I shared a room at first year in Uni with a scouser who would pay Neil Young or Crosby Stills Nash and Young all the time. lol it did get, but at least now I do listen to him without switching him off!

Ha ha, gas.... I can see how that would put you off alright. I have always enjoyed his music myself, though can see how he might not be everyone's cup of tea. Horses for courses.

That is the beauty of music, there is always someone who will like something.
hell yeah horses for courses.

Nice tunes my man. This Neil young guy really has one heck of a voice.

Here's my entry for #TTT

Had you ever heard of him before @seki?

To be honest 😂
Nope but I have heard one if these song before, or I think I've heard it.
That feeling when a tune is in your memory, but you don't know why 😂. I was legit humming ahead....

Happy Three Tune Tuesday and whoop! :)

I don't know Neil Young well enough so thanks for this!

I'm going to have a proper listen at last ...

Dinner now and music in a bit. Can't wait 💥

Excellent, delighted to be bringing a bit of Neil into your day. Something very chilled out and sincere in his songs. I hope the dinner was nice :)

Been full on here so not much time to enjoy Neil yet!

But he's bookmarked 😊👍

Kid's menu so yeah!

Fun but nothing challenging

Thanks for the music ☝️

His voice is like most of the singers in the 80' I guess. Love the harvest moon music. Makes me feel in love of course to my wife. Nice lyrics of the harvest moon song.

Hey there, thanks for the great comment, ya Harvest Moon has always been a song I have enjoyed and will enjoy it even more now, having the memory of my niece playing it and singing so nicely at my baby sister's wedding

If this is true then he was ahead of his time.

Gotta love Neil young! I honestly didn't know a huge amount about his career, so it was cool to learn more a bit more about him. I bet he let the old man stay on the ranch too, he seems like the type to be kind :)!

And gosh, haven't we all fallen in love with a stranger after too many drinks and perhaps -cough- other stuff 😂 What a funny history behind the song!

I love thinking of your sister and her new husband being serenaded with a Uke cover by your niece, that sounds like a memory that many will cherish for years :) thank you for sharing that sweet image with us!!

I bet he let the old man stay on the ranch too

Ya I like to think he did, as he has that kind of vibe to him. My Dad did that with a guy who used to work on his farm, when he was too old to work anymore, he let him live out his days there rent free - it's the little things that make us human.

Yes, it really was so special and I will always remember it, the power of music eh..

I feel Canadian listening to this music.

"Young" Neil Young is really impressive (and even more so when he is carrying a harmonica). It's like he knew at a young age his ephemeral existence would pass in the blink of an eye. I'm glad he is alive and even performing in concerts every once and a while.

Ya so great and you know I actually had to Google him to make sure he hadn't actually died, like so many other greats.

Hi, there! I've never been much of a fan of listening to Neil Young although some of his songs like Harvest Moon I really like. And I guess for you this particular one will remember you of some cherished moments from now on. It is a nice song to play at a wedding. Thanks for sharing:)

Ya it was perfect for the wedding, it just fitted in so well. There were 3 musicians there, so the music was perfect.
