Here are my week one hundred and seven recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Antony & The Johnsons - Fistful Of Love

I happened upon this artist way back in 2005 when the album I am a Bird Now was shortlisted for the 2005 Mercury Music award. Before Three Tune Tuesday existed or Hive for that matter, the Mercury Music nominations were a great way to discover new music, sure everything would not be to your liking, but some would and when I gave this album a listen, I liked it.I actually heard track seven first though and really think it is a strong song.

The album got rave reviews and went on to win the award that year and with guest appearances with some people I have a lot of respect for such Lou Reed, Rufus Wainwright and Devendra Banhart, it is an album worth checking out.

Have a listen and see what you think.

Bloc Party - Banquet

So Antony & The Johnsons and I am a Bird now won it, but who else was in the mix? Well I'll you exactly who! I will even tell you the albums. Bloc Party – Silent Alarm, Coldplay – X&Y, Hard-Fi – Stars of CCTV, Kaiser Chiefs – Employment, KT Tunstall – Eye to the Telescope, M.I.A. – Arular, Maxïmo Park – A Certain Trigger, Polar Bear – Held on the Tips of Fingers, Seth Lakeman – Kitty Jay, The Go! Team – Thunder, Lightning, Strike and The Magic Numbers – The Magic Numbers.

Now who shall we go for for the second choice, ya Bloc Party, I saw them live a few times back then and they put on a great show and banquet was a banger of a tune.

Kaiser Chiefs - Everyday I Love You Less and Less

What better way to finish out this nostalgic post than harking back to the album Employment from The Kaiser Chiefs which got many a dance floor rocking back in the noughties, this one was a floor filler and straight after it on the album came another floor filler in I predict a Riot. Wow, these songs are bringing me back to festivals, pit passes and shenanigans!

Three Tune Tuesday

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 107th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

The Kaiser Chiefs were bloody great right up to that album where they were encouraged to change direction... Which went well. Lol

Too right auld stock, have not heard didely squat from them in ages...

Jesus, did I just say didely squat, starting to sound like Flanders!!

Those are some pretty awesome, what I'd call, "alternative rock" tunes. I became familiar with Kaiser Chiefs a number of years ago when I was working at a place just about 2 miles from the house. It was close enough to walk or ride my bike. When I walked I made a point of listening to some new-to-me music, and they were one of them.

I was a bit into Anthony and Johnsons around 2002-2003, his 1st album was great, by the time the 2nd came out I lost all the intrest... the things changed, direction to the horizon moved for to me, hmmm.

Ya can't say I ever got to into them, but they certainly had a few great tracks on that album 👌

ha! sometimes even with no good tracks, if a man has Big Charisma, it is enough for everyone to become obsessed... for a period of time xD
!BEER

Yep, it's true what you say, charisma and stage presence goes a long long way.
