Here are my week one hundred and twenty eight recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

The Frank and Walters - After All

This week I am going to stay true to my green blood and share all three tunes from Irish musicians. I will opt for lesser known classics that any Irish person worth their salt should know, but which those who come from other corners of the world might not necessarily know.

Let's kick things off with The Frank and Walters a three piece band from Cork who started jamming way back in 1989 and are still banging out the tunes. This is arguably their best known tune and it's easy to see why.

Fontaines D.C. - Boys in the Better Land

Next up, we'll go a little bit more recent and travel back up from Cork to Ireland's capital Dublin. There you'll find Fontaines D.C. an Irish post-punk band formed in Dublin back in 2014. Grian Chatten, Carlos O'Connel, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll make up the numbers and these guys can play. I must confess that I have never seen them live yet, which is sinful. Speaking of sin, what about this for a line... Pure poetry man..

"With a face like sin and a heart like a James Joyce novel"

I have shared two versions, I prefer the first faster version myself as it is the first one that I heard but they are both pretty sweet tbh.

Republic of Loose - Got

Want a great album recommendation which I bet you have not heard of (unless you're Irish and hey probably plenty of Irish have not heard either come to think of it)

Released on May 2nd 2008 the album is called Vol IV: Johnny Pyro and the Dance of Evil and is from Irish band Republic of Loose. The funk rockers released 4 studio albums between 2004 and 2010. This album reached number 6 in the Irish charts and the opening track is shared below for your listening pleasure.

Be careful any Dad's listening, as this music was brilliantly self-described by the band as "the stuff your dad likes" Nuff said, have a listen....

Three Tune Tuesday

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 128th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

HBI contest - win 10HBI

Love the music. My sis introduced me to Republic of Loose a few years back. She's great for keeping me in the know for Irish talent.
Hope all is well? xxxxx

Ah good stuff, I had a feeling you'd have heard of them alright. All good this side, busy busy, but all good..

I gotta check more from then indeed!

Gotta say like all 3 tunes!
I had never heard of Fontaines D.C.
In particular l and I like em! I got some digging to do no doubt!
Cheers 🍀

Nice one man, thanks a mil for taking the time to check out my tunes. I'm hoping to find some time this week to catch up on yours and others. So many tunes, so little time!

Hi! Nice to meet you through music. One way or another I've made it this far and I'm about to write my first post for #TTT, many participants have inspired me, I hope I do well, it seems to be the kind of space on Hive where I easily fall in love with the dynamic. I had to get here and see where the great idea came from, although I'm just getting to the last few hours of this post 😅

Hey man, great to have you aboard. Looking forward to listening to what you have to share in the future.

No Van Morrison!? :) Nice list you have here. I like digging into new artists from new areas!

Van the man would get into any Irish music list worth its salt, but I was going for lesser known (to international readers) artists this week..

The second and third music videos are my favorites. There's just something about a good guitar riff that really hits my music soul.😎🎵

Hi Mell thanks for dropping by for an auld listen, I'm glad that you enjoyed the guitar riffs..
