Well now, I have a treat for you today. I have some Irish music to share with you from a great Irish band who I suspect the majority of you will have never heard of, but I reckon you will enjoy having a listen to this band, who certainly deserved more recognition, but sadly never got it. Their lead singer went off to the great gig in the sky to meet his maker back in January 2016, so unfortunately you will never be able to see them live, but his music lives on and sure isn't that magic of music? Food for the soul, isn't that what they say? Enjoy folks, it is Tuesday after all and sure isn't it great to be alive..

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 93rd week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week ninety three recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Interference - American Townland

Introducing Interference, a band formed by a man called Fergus O'Farrell, an unassuming Cork man, with a great ear for a song and great turn of phrase making him what I would consider an expert wordsmith. The other band members were made up of James O'Leary, Paul Tiernan, Camilla Griehsel, Cal McCarthy, Seezer Roycroft, John Fitzgerald, Anthony Noonan, Marja Gaynor, Bertrand Galen and Malcolm MacClancy.

The band featured in the Academy Award-winning movie Once all the way back in 2007, so some of you may know the song Gold which is included in the Other Voices video at the end. Like so many bands with a song in a famous movie though, there is so much more to this band, let's start of this week's Three Tune Tuesday with American Townland. Here are the lyrics:

American townland
Snow in Iceland
Russian farmland
And the sword of Islam
The state of new Israel
Remembers Belsen
Now there's sand for Palestine
And grass for Israel

Won't you settle down, stop fighting for your gods...
Oh, settle down, stop fighting for your gods.
They can't hear you now, not with the noise of your guns.
Once were towering steeples
Now there's a soaring eagle
A crescent moon and a rising sun
Our prayers ascending, but what good will they bring?
If all that's willin' is more and more killin'
Won't you settle down, stop fighting for your gods...
Oh, settle down, stop fighting for your gods.
They can't hear you now, not with the noise of your guns.
The mountains of Mourne
The county Cork I was born in
This dirty old town
Where the rain's always fallin'..
Our prayers ascending, but what good will they bring?
When all that's willin' is more and more killin'

Interference - Sail On

Other Voices is a music show here in Ireland and suppose anybody familiar with Jules Holland's show, this is a show of the same ilk, with the very best of Irish and International talent taking to the stage to share their unique talents with a captivated audience. Imagine this little gem only has 36k Youtube listens. I have a feeling a few listening here will increase that tally, as they come back to this song again, as it is quite simply beautiful.

Here are the lyrics:

The moon is a ship at night
And it sails over a starry sea.
It’s sailors seek out lovers,

To hear things they're saying to each other.
Well if life was a fairy-tale
Every word would come true.
And as you lie here by my side,
I'd whisper… 'I love you'

The sun is a honey-pot
And my loves a busy bee.
As you lie here by my side
We are sharing the same dream

Well If life was a fairytale,
Every word would come true.
And love would last forever,
Thru these days and nights so blue...

Sail on silver moon, sail on, sail on, sail on.
Sail on silver moon, sail on, sail on, sail on.
Sail on silver moon, sail on, sail on, sail on
Sail on moon.

When I see a shining flame
Falling thru the burning night.
I’ll always think of you,
Wishing everything is so alright, alright,

And Sail on silver moon, sail on, sail on, sail on,
Sail on silver moon, sail on, sail on, sail on.
Sail on silver moon, sail on, sail on, sail on
Sail on moon.

Interference - Something Right

I will leave you with this one. Sleep well Fergus and thank you for the fine music you left behind, which means that you will never be forgotten. Where would we be without music folks??

Other Voices

Well I am guessing that we may now have a few new Interference fans and if that is indeed the case, let me share one of the very first episodes of the show Other Voices which I mentioned above. Glenn Hansard introduces the band and then you will be absolutely spoiled with Fergus and his band for twenty five minutes which will feel like a lifetime and also a blink of the eye. I can't explain it, it's just special and beautiful, if you can find twenty minutes in your day, I promise you will enjoy it.

ThreeTune Spotify Playlist

Our good friend and regular Three Tune Tuesday poster @blackdaisyft added some tunes to a playlist in the early days and there are around 600 tunes there which is class. You can check those out here:

Actually I can join in the fun and make it a total of 9HBI from this week already! I lucked into a couple of liquid HIVE by getting a Pukumundo "The Singing Voice" reward! I will make sure I have a few liquid HIVE from now on so I can always contribute!

Fantastic stuff, you can start this week so, thanks a mil

You're right, never heard of a band, the music is pleasant, harmonious, and deep. Thanks for sharing.

Nice one man, thanks for stopping by and listening.

New one to me, so many musicians depart us far too soon.

I like their style, am a sucker for bigger bands too.

Ya big bands always seem to be class don't they!

A new fan indeed! These are fantastic songs. A shame he's passed. This would have been exactly the type of music I'd love listening to in a coffee shop.

I knew it would be to your taste alright @wwwiebe The poor guy had Muscular dystrophy and slowly couldn't stand and sing, next he couldn't play guitar, eventually couldn't play piano, but on he went in his wheelchair for as long as he could. An amazing man.

That really is some dedication. I think all of us can take some positive direction from that. Thanks for sharing!
