Week 28! Holy shitballs Batman. I've gone for an American band this week who've rocking it since the 90s and are as good today as they were then, I've seen them live a few times and their show are pure class. For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Or why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and hopefully upvote it. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music.

Here are the week twenty eight recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Comes

This song, although sad is just fantastic. It's heartfelt and pure emotion from enigmatic front man Billie Joe Armstrong who is singing about the death of his Father in September 1982, when Billie Joe was just 10 years old. He died from esophageal cancer and it had a profound affect on the young man. Billy Joe had said the song is the most autobiographical he has ever written, considering it "therapeutic" but also difficult to perform. I've been lucky enough to see this song performed live back in the mid to late noughties. Have a listen here:

Green Day - When I Come Around

This song is from the 1994 smash hit album Dookie. Any of of the 14 songs could have made it onto the list, but I went for the lesser known track 10 When I Come Around. Enjoy it my friends.

Green Day - Good Riddance

Last, but by no means least is this absolute belter and perhaps their best known song. It's one of the first guitar riffs I ever taught myself too, so there's always a special place for it with me. This was the first and Bob Marley's Redemption Song was the second. Hmmmmm maybe Bob is the man for next week's post!

Back to Green Day for now though - this little beauty comes from 1997 album Nimrod.

That's a wrap

That's it for another week. Those are your three songs for week twenty eight. Let me know what you think - good, bad or indifferent? Did you like them all or just one or two?

Also, as I said before, I love getting good steers for new tunes, so please tell me about the latest and greatest from your playlist below and I'll be sure to check em out.

Thanks as always for stopping by.

Peace Out
