Here are my week one hundred and fifteen recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Frank Sinatra and Antônio Carlos Jobim - The Girl From Ipanema

I got a little bit of help this week from my trusty 1000 best albums of all time book. Every now and then I leaf to the page of the week, so this week that brought me as far as page 115 and a 1967 album from Frank Sinatra and Antônio Carlos Jobim and I must say it's a gem.

Over the years I've always enjoyed dipping into this book for a recommendation. Back in the day, I'd have to head down to the record store called Zhivago and buy the album, but since the advent of Spotify it is much easier to pick and random page and dip into a random album. The book covers 1955 to 2007 and includes such variety and briliance.

So, this week I bring you the self titled album Francis Albert Sinatra & Antônio Carlos Jobim and three of my favourites from it. Let's get things going with the opening track The Girl From Ipanema.

Frank Sinatra and Antônio Carlos Jobim - I concentrate on you

This is the trusty book which has given me much musical enlightenment over the years, before I had Three Tune Tuesday to help me with my yearning for new music.

The sun was even shining today as I re-listened to this album and picked out the three songs to share. Trust me the sunshine was welcome, as we have had a lot of rain here in recent days, weeks, months!

Here is page 115 that I flicked to earlier on when trying to pick a trio of songs for today's Three Tune Tuesday.

Now, it's time to pick a song to close out this week's songs, and I will go for Baubles, Bangles and Beads, the second last song from this 1967 album, I hope you enjoyed them.

Three Tune Tuesday

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 115th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Frank Sinatra is one of the most legendary singers in history, and the whole world won't forget his existence. His song and his voice are just soothing to the ears.

I am here commenting after I found out about #ttt or #threetunetuesday from @amiegeoffrey, and I am hoping I can join in next Tuesday and select my three favourite songs. Thanks to her and thanks to you @ablaze , music is the best medicine.

I'm so excited!

Hi @mell79 thanks for dropping by, looking forward to hearing what tunes you bring to the party next week and ya Frank was one of the best, this would be one of his lesser known albums, but still very good in my opinion.

I appreciate the warm welcome. I'm thrilled to be a part of #ttt.To me, music is like soul food.

I am glad you chose the songs, which I never heard, and I am glad to put them in my song list for my everyday tunes while I'm sleeping. I get used to sleeping with a song played.

To me, music is like soul food.

Very nicely put, soul food indeed..

The guy was such an incredible vocalist, but I prefer the female vocal version of The Girl From Ipanema. Still, you can't go wrong with Frank.

Yep, I can't disagree with you there, but I do like Frank and Antonio's version too.

Hi @ablaze, Wuao, Frank Sinatra, without a doubt is a music icon Who hasn't felt the velvety sound of his voice? and My Way, I loved it.

Ah yes My Way is an absolute all time classic, you can feel every bit of that song move through you when it is delivered with gusto and personality as Frank does and did at his height.

Ole Frank. A true legend!

Ya the kind of music you can listen to any time regardless of mood I find, and you'll get something from it.

Gotta love Ole Blue Eyes! I have a Sinatra album on vinyl that I bust out every now and then when I am in the mood. Great selection of songs here! Easy to see how many of them are absolute classics when you look at the writing credits. I am guessing that is Irving Berlin and Cole Porter on two of them.

Nice one man, music is magic like that, how you can almost forget about an artist and then something pops into your mind and you think ahhhhhh, let me grab an album and you are transported to another place.

I am guessing that is Irving Berlin and Cole Porter on two of them.

You know your music!! You're right, Cole Porter wrote "I Concentrate on You" and Irving Berlin wrote another song from the album "Change Partners"

I like to say I know a little bit about a lot of things. I think one of my favorite Sinatra songs is his duet with Bono of "I've got you under my skin". It's fantastically classic!

Ah yes, I love that one myself! Yep, I am one who knows lots of little nuggets too, often useless info that just stays in my brain! :)

For sure! I kill at trivia night though!

Francis Albert Sinatra & Antônio Carlos Jobim my Mom would put this on the turn table and tease us, wow long time since I sat down and listened to the first song....

That fricken book is going as long as I have, well at least I'm not dated...., to 2007 🙃

Have a good one!

Ha ha ha, it's going a long while alright, not until 2107 hopefully!!

my Mom would put this on the turn table and tease us

That's cool that you had a musical household, we have that now with our kids too, they hear lots of music from day to day and seem to like it and have a good diverse taste in music.

My boys always enjoyed music often find more up to date versions, some are pretty good.

Often TV Series use music from that period frequently new groups, you recognize the song then have to remember who did original!

Were you really using that book to prop open that window?

Frank Sinatra has such a cool voice and such a great amount of material and songs - I've got a bunch of his work on 78s, too (not a surprise, I'm sure). Really nice selection.

Ha ha ha. I put it there to get a photo or two, I was lucky it didn't fall out the skylight window!!

Frank was some legend alright and no surprise that you have him in your collection!

If I had tried that not only would the book have fallen out of the window, it would have landed on a flower pot which would have shattered, scattered onto the side walk causing a dog to step on a shard, panic, pull the old lady who is walking him down and onto the road where she'd be run over by a motorcyclist who would have went flying head over heels back onto the shattered flower pot and required two dozen stitches.

Lucky man, you.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Gas man!!!
