Here are my week one hundred and sixteen recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Ben Rector - 30,000 Feet

This week's choice was inspired by a catch up with an old friend at a recent stag party that I attended. Most of my friends are well married off at this stage, but there were a few that held off and left it a little bit later in life. So a gang of around twenty of us got together last weekend in County Clare for some surfing and a night out to celebrate with our soon to be wed friend.

Anyway while on the stag I caught up with one of the lads, he's actually a younger brother of one of my best friends and has been living in Germany for around ten years and just recently moved back. He is big into his music and played music in Germany and has been playing music all his life. He got into it from a young age and is very talented, I will look to share some of his tunes here some other time, but this week I'll bring you three tunes from Ben Rector.

Why? Well Thomas and I got talking music and promised we'd share some spotify links after the stag and the first three songs he sent were and EP from Ben Rector and I will share the three songs here this week for Three Tune Tuesday and see what you folks think.

Ben Rector - Living My Best Life (Live)

Right folks, you get the Gig now, I am sharing three tunes from Ben Rector's 2023 Live LP called "30,000 Feet (Live)"

The EP only has three songs, so my job was actually pretty easy this week and I did not have to scrutinise which songs deserved a place in the golden trio, so without further ado here is Living My Best Life. It is very upbeat and perhaps a bit Poppier than my usual taste, but I do like the sentiment and the funny thing is that Ben's voice is actually quite similar to Thomas's.

Ben Rector - Steady Love (Live)

Here is the third and final tune from the short EP. Indeed the songs themselves were short on official videos, but these live versions are a bit longer and better for me.

So who is Ben Rector anyway you might be wondering and I was also wondering that last week when Thomas shared these tunes with me, so I went looking to find out. I found out that he is an American singer songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. He is 36 years old and the genre that he is associated with is Americana and pop rock, the latter admittedly being a genre I would often skip past, but given my friend Thomas's musical prowess, I knew that Ben would be worth a listen, do you agree, let me know in the comments below.

Three Tune Tuesday

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 116th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

Never heard of Ben Rector before, but he's got chops. Not my usual genres, cool though nonetheless. Awesome! 😃

Ya not my usual genre either to be honest, but I found him surprisingly good and worth a listen and a share

This is my first time listening to Ben Rector and it's worth it. I liked all three songs.

Glad you enjoyed them and thanks a mil for stopping by and supporting the post 👌

OMG! Another good finds to add in my playlist, I love his song, I love the lyrics, I love the voice and my favorite was the kind of melody his song has, this is my kind of song! Omg! I just follow his YT account, uwu. Thanks for sharing his beautiful piece to us (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

First honest smile of today here for real. Stopped smoking. It's fuckin' grim. The music helps big time!

Keep it comin' please.

And thank fuck for #ttt 😬❣️

What an uplifting and sound comment! Thanks for that my friend, delighted it brought a smile to your face.

Good tunes, good vibes, good people come together weekly for #ttt and it always puts a smile on my face too Nicky.

Cool stuff! I have heard of Ben Rector before, but I haven't listened to any of his stuff in quite some time. I know that occasionally he pops up on one of the Sirius/XM satellite radio channels that I listen to.

Ya he's new to me actually, I only heard of him a little over a week ago, but he's been a great recommendation and a deviation from my typical genres. I guess variety is the spice of life as they say..

Definitely!

Cool songs I didn't know before now, my favourite is living my best life..... Here's my own list for the week.

The EP only has three songs ...

That's almost cheating! 😂 Almost.

I'm typically not much for 'pop rock' either - my typical goto bands in the car run the range from Franz Ferdinand to Queen, various show tunes (Jekyll and Hyde, for instance), to classical and even video game music, but very rarely pop rock. Not sure I'd put this chap into that category, though.

It was fun listening to those live tunes where the audience really got into it. That makes for some really awesome energy.

Ya he's probably not Pop rock to be fair to him and I'm sure if I ever met Ben he wouldn't be happy to be pigeon holes into that genre either
