Es la primera vez que participó en la adopción de una mascota y debo decir que es una linda experiencia y estoy feliz por haberlo hecho.
Hace una semana uno de mis profesores del gimnasio me preguntó si tenía algún gato que le pudiera regalar. Estaba pasando por un luto porque falleció su último gato y este animal es su mascota favorita. Yo no tenía gatos que pudiera dar en adopción, pero recordé que una prima coloca en sus estados de WhatsApp animales que necesitan un hogar así que le escribí y me puso en contacto con una señora que tiene una fundación de rescate de animales gatos y perros, que a veces los entregan esterilizados y desparasitados con el único compromiso de que los adopté una persona responsable y cada cierto tiempo envíen fotos y notificaciones sobre el estado del animal.
La señora me hizo muchas preguntas: si el animal era para mí o, en caso contrario, si conocía a la persona interesada. Que tenga ese cuidado antes de entregar los animales me deja buena impresión y quedamos de acuerdo con que hoy martes se hiciera la entrega. Yo estaba muy emocionada de ser parte de esto, en las calles hay muchos animales que necesitan protección y hogar, este gesto le daría una oportunidad de una mejor vida a este animalito.

This is the first time I have participated in the adoption of a pet, and I must say that it is a wonderful experience, and I am happy to have done so.
A week ago, one of my gym teachers asked me if I had a cat that I could give him. He was grieving because his last cat had passed away, and cats are his favorite pets. I didn't have any cats to give away, but I remembered that a cousin of mine posts animals in need of a home on her WhatsApp status, so I wrote to her and she put me in touch with a lady who has an animal rescue foundation for cats and dogs. Sometimes they give the animals away sterilized and dewormed with the only commitment being that they are adopted by a responsible person and that photos and updates on the animal's condition are sent from time to time.
The lady asked me many questions: whether the animal was for me or, if not, whether I knew the person who was interested. I was impressed by her care before handing over the animals, and we agreed that the handover would take place today, Tuesday. I was very excited to be part of this. There are many animals on the streets that need protection and a home, and this gesture would give this little animal a chance at a better life.
Hoy salí de casa a las 7 a. m. para poder encontrarme con la señora, y nos vimos a las 7.40 puntuales en el lugar que acordamos. En una cajita con huecos venía blanquito nombre provisional que le colocó su hijo, quien lo cuidaba mientras conseguía hogar, me dijo que ya estaba desparasitado, pero en una semana le hacía falta el refuerzo y que tenía un ojito un poco rojo y enfermo y que le había aplicado antibiótico.
De allí agarre el bus para el gimnasio y lo tenía en su caja, pero no lo había visto, hasta que llegué al gimnasio y se lo presenté a su nuevo papá, abrimos su caja y vimos lo hermoso que es, no me dejó tomar fotos bien, es todo blanco y tiene sus ojos de colores diferentes uno azul y otro verde, una belleza. Le abrimos huecos más grandes a la caja, tenía comida lo alejamos para que la música y la vibración no lo perturbara.
Al llegar a su nuevo hogar me enviaron fotos de su cama, se veía relajado, espero que sea sano y sea feliz con su familia e igualmente la familia sea feliz con él. Estoy contenta de comenzar mi día de esta forma y me dieron ganas de tener un lindo gatito.
Today I left home at 7 a.m. to meet the lady, and we met at 7:40 sharp at the agreed location. In a small box with holes, there was a white kitten with a temporary name given to it by her son, who was taking care of it while she found a home for it. She told me that it had already been dewormed, but that it needed a booster shot in a week and that it had a slightly red and sore eye and that she had applied antibiotic.
From there, I took the bus to the gym and had him in his box, but I hadn't seen him until I arrived at the gym and introduced him to his new dad. We opened his box and saw how beautiful he is. He wouldn't let me take good pictures. He is all white and has different colored eyes, one blue and one green. He is a beauty. We made bigger holes in the box, he had food, and we moved him away so that the music and vibration wouldn't disturb him.
When he arrived at his new home, they sent me photos of his bed. He looked relaxed. I hope he is healthy and happy with his family, and that the family is happy with him too. I'm happy to start my day this way, and it made me want to have a cute kitten.
