Yesterday, I went out to the city to have dinner with my friends. Since it had been a while since we had been in central Stockholm, we decided to stop by the Old Town, #GamlaStan and have a fika (a cup of coffee and some sweets). The Old Town is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Stockholm, attracting visitors from all over the world. Corona has ended, and now, as in the past, tourists from all over the world, including Europe, were coming to see the sights. Listening carefully to the language people speak in Gamla Stan, wondering what country this language is from, is one of the pleasures of being in the Old Town.
I ordered a cup of hot wine called "glögg" at a café on a large street in the old town. Glögg is a common drink during the Christmas season in Scandinavia and other parts of Europe, where wine is heated and spices such as cinnamon and nuts are added. It is especially popular in Scandinavia, where the weather is cold, and it makes the body feel warm and fuzzy. Christmas lights have not yet been put up in the city, but the temperature is gradually getting colder and colder, reminding us that winter is coming soon. What a fun day to take a walk in the Old Town and see my friends. I hope you also had a good weekend 🤩
昨日、友人夫婦と食事をするために市内まで出かけました。めっちゃ久しぶりにストックホルム市内まで来たので、旧市街に寄ってフィーカでもすることにしました。旧市街（ガムラスタン）はストックホルムでも人気の観光地で、世界中から観光客が集まる場所です。コロナも終息し、今では昔のように欧州をはじめ、世界中から観光客が観光に来ていました。この言語はどこの国の言語なのかなと思いながら、聞こえてくる言葉に耳を澄ますのも旧市街での楽しみでもあります。じゃっかんストーカーっぽい変な趣味ではあるのですが、旧市街に来るたびに、新しい言語に出会うとテンションが上がる自分がいてます。
旧市街にある、大きな通りにあるカフェでグロッグと言うホットワインを注文しました。グロッグはスカンジナビアや他の欧州でもよく飲まれるクリスマスシーズンの飲み物で、ワインを温めてそこへシナモンなのどスパイスやナッツを入れて飲みます。前回、帰国した際にIKEAでも売ってたので最近は日本でも知名度が上がってきてるのかなぁとも思います。寒さの厳しい北欧では特に人気で、飲むと体がポカポカと暖かくなるのを感じます。街はまだクリスマスのイルミネーションなどは始まっていませんが、少しずつ寒くなってきてる気温が冬の訪れを感じさせられました。あぁ、もう１１月か。。。あと２か月で２３年も終わりって、まじで信じられへん。
