Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was fairly similar to Saturday: I still didn't really feel like doing yard work, and my knee was still bothering me too much for a run. And with the sun shining again, it was perfect to spend time in the yard.
Kaia saw something, and almost forgot her injured leg. Of course she's still on-leash, even in the yard, at least for a few weeks until she fully recovers.
I quickly found what she saw. This squirrel was taunting her!
Le Chat was observing from the distance and didn't feel the need to intervene.
Much later in the day, just like the day before, I decided again to go for a walk to catch the sunset, and check out how the fall colors are spreading.
I thought I missed it again!
But going a bit further North, I found better angles.
As usual, near the golf course entrance, the view was fantastic.
I kept walking North following the Sun descent, until it fully disappeared behind the trees.
I knew the sun was gone, but a stop near the North end of the golf course was of course a must. I like the contrast with the green colors.
Then I walked back home because I didn't want to leave Kaia alone too long. She seems to behave well, and doesn't lick the surgery incision, but it's best to check on her often. When I got back in the yard, I saw something hiding behind that fallen tree.
Surprise! One of my deer friends was visiting. I think I can recognize these antlers.
Another day without getting much done in the house or the yard, but it was a good day nonetheless. I guess that's what weekends are for, just relax and enjoy!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
