Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was another fairly usual work day and once again I failed to start early our long walk of the day with Kaia. We went to the golf course first, just in case. But of course, it was too late and too cloudy for any kind of sunset. Light pinkish hues weren't bad though.
Before going to the forest, I wanted to add some distance. So we went through that subdivision first. Really nice and quiet, perfect for easy walking.
And wildlife spotting. In addition to the usual deer, we saw raccoons, possums and lots of rabbits. They were a bit shy though, and stay in the distance. That's the best picture I could get.
And finally we arrived in the forest. By that time, it was fully dark of course.
Soon after I took her leash off, Kaia bolted, chasing raccoons, in spite of my yelling. Her reward was that she had to do a few long down/stays. Not a strong punishment, but she understands.
Even then, she's very aware of all the surrounding sounds.
When she calmed down, we continued our walk in the dark forest. I actually enjoy walking there at night very much.
And that was it for the day. As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
