Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was a sunny day, but once again procrastination and laziness got the best of me, and we ended going for our long walk with Kaia a bit late. Not so late that we missed the sunset, but we had to start there first, instead of our usual first destination in the forest.
As usual, it was worth it, to me at least.
At this point, it looked like a big ball of fire, about to engulf these trees.
But of course, it kept its descent, slowly disappearing behind the tree line.
We then headed in the direction of the forest, with a few detours. On the way, we found a big group of deer. Most of them just fled when they saw Kaia, but for some reason, these two kind of froze. Not sure it was courage or fear, or maybe a bit of both...
Since we had already walked a few miles, we didn't spend as much time as usual in the forest. But enough to explore a few trails and for Kaia to enjoy her off-leash time.
On the way back home, I was wondering why we couldn't see the infamous Worm Moon. The reason was simple, it was still under the horizon. But just a few minutes later, in the corner of my eye, it finally appeared, still with a few trees in the foreground.
Of course, I couldn't resist and instead of going straight home, we turned East to find a better viewpoint. It took a bit of time, but finally there she was in all her splendor.
By the way, just for reference, this was the view without zooming in.
We walked some more but unfortunately it wasn't enough to pass the @poprzecka bar, meaning it was the end of the February session for me. Still happy with my 29k step count though.
Much later at night, I couldn't help it again and snapped more pictures of the Moon, but just from the backyard.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
