Interesting I wasn't following the entire space solar power discussion as I was more focused on the EV related stuff. All I know is that Elon Musk really wants to make space travel a reality and left it alone.

        Since the subject this time is beaming power: According to whereisroadster.com the vehicle Elon Musk launched into space is currently 2.54 light minutes from Earth. Right now if you could aim a laser at the space car the laser light wouldn't reach the car until almost three minutes later.
