Setback with push-ups, but finally under 88 kg... my training diary entry from July 29 2026

(Here is another photo of a duck, taken the day before yesterday morning in my acquaintance's garden.)

Hi Actifitters,

yesterday, close-grip push-ups were finally back on the agenda. I was full of motivation and hope that I would reach my milestone; after all, I only needed to improve by a single repetition in the final set. Unfortunately, the attempt was disappointing, and I ended up managing three fewer repetitions than in my previous workout. Since I’ve already had to deal with quite a few setbacks, I’m able to handle this well and am already motivated to improve again at the next training session. I’ll make it in the end—I’m sure of that—it just takes time.

Afterwards, I did a few dumbbell exercises before hopping in the saddle to tackle the "Climb of the Week." I really pushed myself hard during that, so - despite the push-up flop - I can look back on a satisfying workout.

Mission 80 (Day 31 = 87.6 kg / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 / Total loss = 2.4 kg)

What can I say? I’m happy! I finally managed to break through the 88 kg barrier. I’d be happy for things to keep going this way.

Since I have to go into the office again today, I don't have much time for a workout. But I'll still try to do what I can.
