…..from our new church to be! Our day began with an earlier than usual church service. We normally have two services each Sunday, but due to the heat of summer and so many families taking vacations during the summer, we are paring down to just one.
The service was awesome as usual. Afterwards before everyone was dismissed, they talked about the purchase of the land this fall and then the hope of starting construction in 2025. They showed a drawing of what te building will look like. It’s going to be a mix of modern and traditional combined. I know everyone is excited about it!
After dismissal, everyone was invited to the land where a coffee truck awaited our orders ( on the house) and we were given the opportunity to write a prayer or scripture on a wooden stake and then pound that stake into the ground-sort of claiming and praying over the land for God. It was awesome!

We had arrived directly after church which turned out to be a good thing when you consider this line for coffee, lol!
Pastor Kyle had arrived and was helping folks pound their stake in as the maul was a bit heavy. He was dressed in black (not the best color for the sun and the heat) and it was apparent as we conversed with him that he was in for a hot 🥵 time!

It was a nice morning. Once home, we eventually decided to take a short hike. It was seriously hot! At one point when we first got home, the greenhouse temperature was 103 degrees! It cooled down about an hour and a half later to a balmy 98.6 degrees! 🥵🥵🥵
I sit in the AC cool as I type this post! Thank goodness for air conditioning! 🙏
