What type of wines does he make? I'm thinking maybe cherries have to be in there somewhere since you mention cherry trees.

In this region, along the Rhone river, the wines he makes are 'Cotes du Rhone', both red and white. And the most famous ones are 'Saint-Joseph', really good French wine. There's indeed lots of cherry trees, but definitely not used for wine. Back in Michigan where I'll be back soon, we have cherry wine.
Vet wasn't too sure about why the dog was so weak and feverish for a couple days, possibly a parasite bite, like a tick, or something. But he's all better now!
