It was a beautiful sunny day here today. We’d planned to meet our oldest son Michael and his wife, Christine, at the Lynden Starbucks for a coffee and treat. Then the plan was to go to Lynden City Park for a stroll.
The fall color is definitely on the increase and the angle of the sun has that ‘fall’ look about it. As we continued onward, there were more trees with some lovely color emerging.
Fortunately for me, the trail is fairly flat which is less aggravating to my leg and hip. We stopped at the gazebo for a brief break and then continued onward to the ballpark on the other side of a road that dissects the trail.
The blackberries here are still blooming and producing. This specimen should be tasty in a few days.

We spent from noon to late afternoon together. As we got back to the cars, it tried sprinkling on us a little from a stray cloud. We discovered later as we approached home that there must have been a bigger cloud attached to it stretching towards home, as it was apparent it had dumped there! ☔️
Mr. Squirrel was a bit of a contortionist as he groomed his back.

Afterwards, we went to the grocery to get a few items and some cookies for the church picnic tomorrow. That should be a fun time as well!
