Happy 4th Of July! 🎇🎆🇺🇸……..My Actifit Report Card: July 4 2026

Happy 4th of July everyone! 250 years! Quite the milestone! I hope everyone who is celebrating has had a lovely and safe family celebration! 🇺🇸

Our day began with a bit of a disappointment- the hot tub was sitting at 72 degrees Fahrenheit! 😳 Not so hot! Since I wasn’t of a mind to sit in a cold hot tub, we regrouped and did a couple of things around the house. Then on the way to Starbucks for a coffee date, I pulled into Lynden City Park. The sun was shining ( finally) and the temperature mild albeit just a touch cool due to a somewhat brisk breeze blowing.

We headed out towards the east, eventually crossing a road and into the sportsplex. We had found the park and the sportsplex mysteriously empty. I thought for sure there’d be tons of folks out and about, but not so. Just a handful of players dotted the many ball fields around.

@silvertop was feeling adventurous! I snapped his progression on his rock climb.

King of the hill! (Although nobody was vying for the title!🤭)

A nicely bubbling brook.

Of course, Mr. Squirrel was around feasting on the many mulberries dropping from the tree.

All kinds of little critters were about!

This morning glory seemed illuminated from within. So simple yet so pretty!

I found this guy growing alongside of our driveway. Reminds me of a sweet pea but different.

We did make it to Starbucks and while there, baby granddaughter Olivia called. We spent well over an hour FaceTime-ing with her and her mommy and daddy! It was a nice afternoon!

That’s gonna be it for this 4th of July! Happy Birthday to the USA! 🇺🇸🎆🎇
