Happy Sunday! 😇🌞
The day began at church with an awesome time of worship and a wonderful sermon. We were somewhat packed for the first service, which makes me wonder if they will keep to two services during the summer. They did last year, but the year prior, they combined into one. I suspect we’ve grown too much to do that now. We need that new church building done! 😎
When we got home, I found Cot on the bed, which is normal, but I didn’t see Cyle anywhere at first until I got further into the room……
He was sun baking that beautifully furry belly! 😽
I mentioned yesterday I’d show a couple of things from the ladies event. One of the women designed a sweatshirt for the event. The name of our church is Valley Church, so you’ll get the meaning to the embroidered logo on it.
I washed it and partially dried it in the dryer; then hung it to dry the rest of the way. It’s a nice and thick-snuggly type sweatshirt.
They hired a gal who does this really cool thing. She has a podcast type light fixture with a computer screen and camera in the middle. She also has feather boas and various signs for people to hold. You pose; she snaps the picture and does three different poses. The pictures are texted to you and print out on glossy photo paper. A pretty cool setup! It also turns out she’s someone I know and haven’t seen in a while-the wife of a guy that @silvertop and myself used to do worship music together with a lifetime ago. She calls her business ‘Deez Events’ and does things like the glamour shots; musical bingo; karaoke and other related things. Very interesting-I had no idea, lol! She’s funny and has the perfect personality to do this. I wish her much success! Here’s the shots she took.

It was a great time of fellowship and fun! 🤩
This afternoon, we first took a trip into the forest on our property in search of the Dogwood tree @ silvertop said he’d found. I didn’t even know we had one!
Then later, we set out for my first real hike in about 5 weeks due to my hip issue. There are five serious hills just on our road to get to the trailhead. I was planning to go as far as my hip would allow. It was not pain free, but going slowly enabled me to get to the pond which is beyond those hills. There’s a grove of apple trees there.
The trees were literally‘buzzing’ because of the bees 🐝 busy pollinating all those blooms!
Inside the pink ring is one of hundreds of bees that were very busy indeed!

I saw my first Trillium for the season, but was far away enough that it wouldn’t have made for a good picture. Maybe I’ll try to get closer tomorrow.
We had a visitor on a wall in the garage today. 😳 I’m not sure what he was up to.
We call them ‘mud puppies’; maybe they have another name. You find them off and on around the forest floor. This guy was probably lost…..
That’s it for today. Tomorrow, we are headed up the hill to install Linda’s new mailbox and visit with her some. She’s not doing well since her husband passed in November, so we are hoping to bring her a little cheer.
