Happy Friday Eve! 😁………My Actifit Report Card: April 2 2026

Happy Friday Eve everybody! It’s Thursday-almost Friday and next to Friday and Saturday, Friday Eve, aka Thursday is anticipated almost as much! At least for me it is!

Speaking of happy, get a load of that spider plant in the first pic! He’s extremely happy in my work environment with the natural lighting plus the grow lights! Look close at the texture-who knew?!

It was a me, myself and I day today. I was glad for it as I’ve been excessively tired today-not quite my normal. The phone wasn’t overly busy and I only had maybe 3-4 folks come. One- I had to almost laugh at. He came in and when I asked how could I help, he informed me he was there for an appointment! I grinned at him and said not today, as I don’t have a doc. I asked him for his name and I’ll give him that he had the time correct-just the wrong day! He looked at me and said his wife got it wrong! I didn’t point out that we hadn’t called yet to remind him. He wanted to reschedule, but picked a day in July! July?! Yep- you heard right! He’s an over the road truck driver. 😁

My orchid’s flower completely opened overnight. There are 4 or 5 blooms left to open yet.

Here’s another happy camper on my plant shelf at work!

It normally blooms only in May and October. It will be interesting to see if this blooming knocks the regular schedule off any.

I searched my archives for some other happy flowers. Enjoy!

That’s gonna do it for today! Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

BSB Luke 4:16-21

Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath. And when He stood up to read, the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it was written:
“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me,
because He has anointed Me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to release the oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Then He rolled up the scroll, returned it to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him, and He began by saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Happy almost Friday to rest I hope you get to rest and relax with your family. The orchid is beautiful, very beautiful, and difficult to maintain in these areas. Take good care of yourself Good friend ❤️

My Christmas/Easter cactus is in full bloom, white with a hint of pink/violet. Meanwhile the orchid may have a bud starting and I would expect it to bloom in July, I hope.

Happy Friday Eve indeed! There's something special about those quieter days when it's just you, your plants, and a slower rhythm—sounds like today gave you exactly that. The spider plant is absolutely thriving, and isn't it amazing how the right light (natural or grow lights!) can transform a workspace into a little sanctuary? And that orchid surprising you with an off-season bloom? That's nature's way of reminding us that growth and beauty don't always follow a strict calendar—sometimes they show up just because the conditions are right and the care has been consistent.

As for the truck driver with the July appointment—honestly, that's a gem of a moment. We all need people who make us smile without even trying, and he clearly brought a little unexpected humor to your day. It's funny how life balances itself: a sleepy Thursday, a few quiet visitors, a plant showing off its textures, and a flower opening overnight like a gift you didn't ask for but definitely deserve. Keep tending to those small joys—they're the ones that make the tired days feel lighter and the "me, myself, and I" moments feel full. Here's to more surprise blooms and wrong-day appointments that leave us grinning 🌿🌸
