Things Are Looking Up! 😁…….My Actifit Report Card: March 19 2026

When I got up this morning, one of the first things I did was to check the river level. It was down just over a foot from last night when I went to bed. 😅

Lake Nooksack, a seasonal pond that appears, was the fullest I’d ever seen it-even during the flood this past December! The ducks 🦆 are going to love it!

Once at work, I noticed to doc had gone through before he left last night, and put some things up out of potential flood waters way-but not everything. I was kind of surprised actually.

Work was busy in the afternoon, and my coworker took pity on me, and came in to help out. I was to have 3 patients back to back, from the local tribe. It requires more one on one time as most times, they wish to purchase 2-3 pairs of glasses and then there is the claims and tribal paperwork that has to happen as well. Trying to be the front and back office personnel, makes it difficult to give them quality time. Unfortunately, they ended up rescheduling this morning to another day. I was still very appreciative of Lisa’s help, as it gave me opportunity to do a frame return and other things.

My orchid at work is just about to bloom. It has started blooming annually at exactly this time of year last year.

Since I took the grow light to work, my Christmas cactus is now for the first time, blooming on the side that has never bloomed!

Only the front side would-it’s like it was divided in half, but I think it was the lack of enough daylight for the back side.

Today, our oldest son went in for a procedure called POEM. It’s got to do with the esophagus. We are all hoping this fixes a long suffered condition for him.

Going back to the subject of work; I had decided if the river was at 82’ or so, that we would pick up the balance of things that would be ruined if it flooded, but as you can see from this next picture, it appears it’s receding a bit.

I’ll keep an eye on it still, as the rain isn’t finished just yet. I’ll reassess tomorrow afternoon, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that we are good. 😁😅
