Coffee anyone? I had noticed in my Starbucks app, that this week through tomorrow, they were offering zero delivery fees on drinks and food orders. Yesterday, I mentioned this to Lisa, my coworker and she said let’s do it. So today, around noon, she customer ordered our coffees and a sweet treat for us both through the app and took advantage of the free delivery. Neither she nor I had ever done delivery through the app. Given the busyness of the day, this was an especially nice treat when it arrived. What we learned from the experience-despite free delivery, you are still charged tax on that delivery fee. Prices overall are just a bit higher than ordering in person. Also, there has to be another tax of some variety levied due to the total of sales tax in the order. Despite the extra cost, it was a nice break for there is not a Starbucks in Everson. Would we do it again? Yep but only occasionally and as a special treat. I did enjoy it immensely as did Lisa! 😋
