We ended up at Starbucks with more than I bargained for! More on that in a moment.
The day began a bit late as I slept in apparently! It wasn’t a planned thing-I just didn’t wake up despite 2 alarms going off! 😏 Guess I was tired 🥱
Once up, I did some things around the house and at about quarter to eleven, my phone rang. It was the doc’s mom. She couldn’t access the office software as there was no internet. I knew rather than trying to troubleshoot over the phone, I might as well go as she’s a bit tech challenged.
Once there, I crawled under the counter to do a power reset with the modem. It went out Friday before I left and I guess never fixed itself. It didn’t seem to do much, so I called Comcast. I never made it to a human, as I eventually went back up front and we were back online. What I originally discovered when I went to disconnect the power cable, was that it was barely hanging in the modem. We’d been experiencing frequent outages and I’m now guessing that whenever the modem was touched by feet under the counter, it would either disconnect or connect depending. Anyway, fixed and headed for home! 😎
I needed to mail a pound of coffee, so once the label was done and @silvertop was ready we left.
Then it was off to Lynden for a couple errands and a coffee date! Hence that first picture. My coffee drink of choice is a Venti mocha; coconut milk; 190+ degrees; double cupped; with 1 pump sugar free vanilla and .5 pump peppermint with whipped cream. 😅 The gal who takes my order believe it or not, has it memorized. Anyway, the barista making it was a different gal. I got our coffees and sandwiches and went to the table. I took a sip and thought..hmmmm. Something is off. @silvertop looked and asked what? I took another sip and took it back to the counter asking if she had put the mocha sauce in. She looked at me and said no, but not to worry-she’d remake it. She said to keep the other, which of course I can doctor at home! Nice! That’s how we ended up with 3 coffees for the afternoon!
Before getting coffee though, we did go to Lynden City Park and took the west side trail. Enjoy the pictures!
After the hike and coffee, we stopped by the dollar tree store and ran into friends we’d not seen in a while upon entering, and then later at the register, ran into a lady we’d not seen in years, so it was apparently the place to be! 😎
