Sunday Blues…..My Actifit Report Card: December 15 2025

in Actifit2 days ago (edited)

It was a workday for me on what is normally not. It would be so nice if I could take the vision clinic and just send it through the wash like the car is in the first photo! It’s extremely humid inside-and stinky! We have 3 industrial floor fans blowing and circulating air. When I came in this morning, I opened both the front door and the rear patio door. We were having a wind storm so we got tons of ventilation going on. The furnace is on 24/7 for another day but it’s still pretty wet in there. The carpet is showing signs of a brownish tint forming, typical for this situation.

When Yana arrived today, I think she was surprised at the conditions. I at least got the phone working again and we spent time sanitizing frames contaminated by the flood waters, opening up files to encourage drying. I verified all insurance for Wednesday’s appointments as I lost my entire insurance file I had with copies of cards and referrals. It’s going to take some time to rebuild that.

It rained again-enough to increase the river depth to just over 80’-flood stage is 83’- and I know there were lists of nervous folks watching it. We all have a bit of PTSD going on! 😳

I threw out more contaminated stuff today and worked on as well, trying to make the clinic somewhat presentable. The restaurant next door to us has removed all their carpet and is tearing out drywall 2’ up to eradicate the possibility of mold growing. That is a concern I have about the clinic. I believe there is water still seeping from the walls. I have one small room we use for visual fields testing that seems excessively wet-which does concern me a bit.

I came home at 1:30-6 hours was enough for me! I had the most steps at that point that I’ve ever had at work in that tiny building! Tomorrow, I’m hoping to do a similar schedule since again, I’m going in on an off day.

When I got home, we loaded up the car with various Christmas packages that were ready to be shipped, stopped at the library, treated us to coffees and ham & Swiss croissants. Then, a quick trip to the dollar store, a stop at another brand coffeehouse for a gift card for our oldest son, and finally home. I am bushed!! 🥱

Enjoy a few photos of rare sunshine for us lately.

And finally, a sunset photo.

That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

NKJV Jeremiah 33:14-17

In those days and at that time
I will cause to grow up to David
A Branch of righteousness;
He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.
In those days Judah will be saved,
And Jerusalem will dwell safely.
And this is the name by which she will be called:
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.’
“For thus says the LORD: ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

Oh no! It must be a very worrying time! 😟 I hope all the drying out methods work quickly for you!
!ALIVE

Thank you! It's drying more in some areas and less in others. Unfortunately, we found some black mold today, so I'm not sure what the doc's going to do to eradicate that. It has to go!

Take care and have a lovely day! !LADY

Ok, stay safe and dry.

That looks like a Dutch name on that Carwash :)

Congratulations !!

Did you know that @stresskiller is also a witness now ?

It is indeed! The town of Lynden, WA is modeled Dutch culture and architecture because of the early Dutch roots. We even have a windmill. I don't think I have any pictures, but maybe next time I'm there, I'll snap a few. Thanks for the curation! Take care!

Intresting so my Dutch ancestors went that way too :) love to see an image of that mill one day .

Thanks sis!

I need the subscription as I never seem to find the time to go, lol! I really want to get a coat of wax on the car before winter, but there's so much flood grime on the roads, it's almost not worth it just yet. Then, when some of it dissipates, it will be too cold to go without having the locks freeze!🙄

Take care sis! Much love to ya!😘🤗❤️ !HOPE !HBIT !INDEED

My, oh, my @elizabethbit! Indeed, that all sounds so stressful.

Flooding is such a scary thing. Recovery is so much work even in the best case scenario.

So received to hear the everyone is safe, albeit now is the time to sort out the financial & physical repairs from the damage.

Take good care of yourself!
