It’s rainy and cool here and I’m a bit sicker than yesterday. I’m hoping tomorrow will begin the downhill side of it. Did I mention I hate being sick?
So today saw me doing some mild house chores. I don’t have a lot of energy, so I’d stop and rest between tasks.
I find I am liking hot drinks a lot and having one by the fire 🔥……
….is nice. I have my furry feline friend Cot, sitting with me right now while I work on this post. He’s such a good boy! 😻
Wood stoves are nice-it’s like they are the heart of the home. A wood stove fire adds a special type of heat unattainable with forced air furnaces. I would not ever have a home without one!
Our oldest son moved from a home he and his wife had put one in, to a home that didn’t have one. They have a forced air furnace and consequently use portable oil filled heaters to make it warmer. It’s just not the same as the wood stove is! They’ve not ever installed one in the place they moved to and I guess will forever try to supplement their heat that way.

With it being rainy-a hike was not in the plans for today. However I do have some dripping ‘shrooms for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!
