It’s Friday Eve-thank goodness, and I am already anticipating the end of tomorrow! Yesterday was strange-I chalked that up to the full moon effect-but today was crazy busy making it a bit strange as well! I’ve seen before what I call ‘lingering full moon effects’ which explains today! 😅
I got to work around 8:15 this morning, and as I was booting up the computer, realized I had a mandatory training session for Medicaid I was required to attend. The bad thing-it started at 8:00! 😏 I jumped on super quick and at the end found out I wasn’t the only one late and that we would still get credit for attending. Whew! 😅 However, it put a gigantic hole in what I’d planned to get done!
As I opened at 10, it was like the floodgates had opened! I had 4 patients all needing my help as well as a frame rep waiting for me! Fortunately, I had my coworker come in at 10 because we were both concerned the ‘belt man’ would show up and might be a bit upset we wouldn’t repair his belt! See yesterday’s post for that story!
Long and short of it-I was able to help everyone. Once the frame rep left around 12:00, I had another couple of patients stop in to order glasses as well. I’d begun sweating a little for the afternoon was approaching with patient appointments and I had yet to finish some orders including the new ones from the mini rush!
The doc was almost 30 minutes late, which helped me a little at first, but that always snowballs into a bigger mess. 😏 Our last patient for the day was a ‘no show’ so I was in a much better position at the end of the day. 😎
Tomorrow is fully booked; if the doc is late, I just might have to fire him lol!😂
