Happy Sunday all!
The day began at church. Today was to be different from the normal Sunday as directly after the one service, normally there are two; we’d have an all church meeting as well.
The worship and sermon were wonderful. The meeting was about where we are with the new church building. The money for the land has been collected and can be purchased in cash. The building has a larger estimation of cost and we haven’t reached a ‘cash’ level yet. So mostly the meeting was about options and how it’s going to be approached. It was informative.
After church, we stopped at an ice vending machine and purchased a bag of ice as I’ve been consuming more than I can make, for the moment. Then we headed home.
I rode the bike while @silvertop split some firewood. It’s hot again and I don’t do heat well, so while he went hiking, I stayed home and changed the bed, watered my indoor greenhouse plants and those that can’t fit in it as well as some online work. It was a productive afternoon.
Once @silvertop returned, I made coffees and began working on a pot of pumpkin chili for dinner. Yum! 😋
Tomorrow, I have to go to work on my normal off day. Same for Tuesday and then my normal workweek begins. Sounds silly, but when you’re not used to working those 5 days a week, it’ll take its toll! I’m not looking forward to that! 🙄
