Lemon Tree 🍋……..My Actifit Report Card: May 13 2025

…….very pretty! Today was the day! We were headed back to My Garden nursery to see if they still had-you guessed it-a lemon 🍋 tree! I’d shopped around online and locally. They had the biggest specimen for the same amount of money as much lesser trees cost.

We got to the nursery and I headed straight back to the little alcove where I saw them on Sunday. They still had them! I looked through and chose the one with the most potential blooms on it. I was very happy! Some might think-a lemon tree? In Northwest Washington? Well- yes! Why not? The summers are hot and humid, similar to Florida, and yes the winters might be a bit cool, but that can be overcome by bringing it indoors!

This is the biggest of the blooms so far, that’s getting ready to open.

We walked around a bit and I picked up some purple kale and parsley for the garden. I found some attractive metal art as well, but left them behind.

No fish here unfortunately. 🎏

We brought ‘Lemmie’ home and she is residing in the kitchen under the skylight. I’ve also set up a small USB fan to mimic the environment she came from. I’ll have to keep you posted on whether or not there will be lemons!🍋

The balance of the day has been spent with outdoor gardening and cycling on the stationary bike. While outdoors, I noticed that my irises are beginning to bloom.

This next one is called Bee Balm and apparently has many uses including teas and medicinal ones as well. I’d dig deeper before consuming though!

Tomorrow finds me heading back to work. Hard to say if we’re booked or not, for lately, there have been more ‘no shows’ than there’s been in a long while.
