Yes indeedy-it IS a Monday! When I think of the phrase ‘Monday-Monday’, it brings to mind the old The Mamas and The Papas hit from the 60’s. Not the words so much as the tune and the harmonies. Anyway, it is a Monday and it’s not been good nor bad. We had to run an errand in downtown Bellingham. I don’t enjoy going there much because of the traffic and the town itself. I’d rather go to Boulevard Park. Traffic anymore is just crazy and I don’t like that either.
I had a Zoom meeting at 4 PM, for a group I belong to. It was informative. It’s been a bit of a blah-blah day. (Sigh) 😔
There are however some pictures to share! That first picture is of a Columbine flower we dug up from the side of the road at our next door neighbor’s yard. It always got mowed down by the county lawnmower man. So we decided about 4 years ago to rescue it. Its first year was spent as a potted Columbine. It survived, so we found a lovely spot to plant it, and it’s done well.
This next photo is another rescue story.
About 2 years ago, we were hiking the North Pass Road. I spied a Columbine flower on the side of the road! Again, knowing it would fall victim to the county lawnmower man, we went back the next day and dug it up. We had no idea of the color. We planted it close to the first rescued plant. Well as you can see, it too, is purple, which also happens to be my favorite color! It has done well in its transplanted spot. I’m very glad we rescued them. As they go to seed, I’m sure we will have many more like them in the future!
My peach color Azalea has come into its season as well!
Such intense color!
Yesterday, we had gone to My Nursery, a local nursery on the outskirts of Bellingham. Here are more pictures of the wonderful garden metalworks and some plants.
Yesterday also included a trip to the infamous Boulevard Park! Here’s more pictures from there to enjoy!
Barnacles and mussels cling to a concrete pier post where a floating dock resides. You can walk the gangway down to the dock.
There is an elevated boardwalk that I like to take pictures of from beneath it.
A beautiful tree that seems to be everywhere, is the Common Hawthorn. Its flowers are lovely.
Wild roses grow along the bay as well.
Tomorrow sees me headed back to My Nursery to purchase a special tree if they still have any remaining. I’ll post about it if they aren’t all gone.
That’s gonna be it for today. Take care as always and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏

NKJV Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
