Hi friends, much more scary than a power outage is an internet outage. Usually cellular is the most stable here , actually anywhere in the less developed world. Even cable network can't keep up, because the routers themselves need power, which is often not there.

Today, however, there was electricity, but no mobile phone service. That is really disturbing.

viel unheimlicher als ein Stromausfall ist ein Internetausfall. Normalerweise ist der Mobilfunk das stabilste hier , eigentlich überall in der weniger entwickelten Welt. Selbst Kabelnetz kann da nicht mithalten, weil die Router ja selbst Strom brauchen, der eben oft nicht da ist.
Heute jedoch war Strom da, aber kein Mobilfunk. Das ist wirklich verstörend.
