Walk to the Portofino lighthouse... |🇮🇹 Passeggiata al faro di Portofino

Cogli la bellezza ovunque!

Another sunny day today. Temperatures have dropped, but the sun is transmitting a pleasant warmth!

Close encounter between Cocker spaniels...

Together with @comb, @anamari and their dog Marilù we walked from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino, then on to the lighthouse, passing the church of San Giorgio and its beautiful cemetery.

Santa Margherita Ligure was frequented by many people, many of whom - like us - were walking with their four-legged friends.

The route from Santa Margherita to Portofino is about five kilometres long and the road skirts the magnificent scenery of the Gulf of Tigullio.

I have always been fascinated by this tree, an expression of the will to grow in such an impervious place as a rocky stacks: for me, it is a true wonder!

Tree on a cliff...

On the way we saw this woman trying to dive into the sea: despite many attempts, she didn't make it! 😁

Attempt to swim in the seaNo luck: "I won't dive in the water"!
Attempt to swim in the sea...Belly fears cold water...

The coast is very winding and, consequently, the road is a continuous in and out and often you can admire colorful houses near the sea...

Before Portofino

Walk and walk, we have arrived in Portofino!

Portofino signpost

Due to the pLandemic situation and the fact that today is Sunday, there was not even a bar open, not to mention the closed and barred shops.

As a result, the village was semi-deserted: we met no more than a dozen people!

Very beautiful the church of San Giorgio, on the way to the lighthouse...

The area is always full of Seagulls, who delighted us with their aerial evolutions and their song... a bit shrill, but very characteristic! 😉

I would have liked to watch the sunset from the lighthouse, but we were all pretty cold.

So I took these photos against the light, with the interesting shimmer on the sea....

To return to Portofino, we went down the steps leading directly to the quay in front of the village: the spectacle of coloured houses is very characteristic!

Cammina e cammina, siamo arrivati a Portofino!

Cartello Portofino
