It is nice to have a log burner to chill out with in the cold and wet evenings, they are regulating log burners and stoves in the UK. I personally think this is so they can force people to get rid of theirs and buy their over priced gas instead.

!LOLZ They have the same thing going on here, but because we live far enough out, when we bought our stove, we went for the biggest we could find. It has rock-glass panels at the top of the stove that creates and 'after burner' effect, but beyond that, that's the only concession. As for gas......they're trying to get everyone to switch to electric, which would be the most expensive type there is! No thanks-I'll keep my wood burner and my propane furnace back up heat! We heat with wood.

Bureaucrats! Maybe if they did the jobs they were voted into and paid for, they wouldn't have time to worry about things like main heating sources of the people.
