Friday.
The day was quite sunny but not too uncomfortably hot anymore. In the evening thick clouds rolled in and it started raining heavily. A welcome cooling and hydrating rain.
I bet there will be plenty of mushrooms growing in the coming days. Pretty fungal flowers fruiting from dead wood, just like this one:
A perfect find for a Friday! Because Friday is for fungi fun with the #FungiFriday crowd. Allthough I don't really see this as "my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw" because it's basically just some #smartphonephotography to make the daily #actifit post less spammy.
It's still a pretty mushroom and it's Friday, though!
Shiny, silvery amber on the top and beautifully distinct long gills on the bottom. It looks quite pretty and somewhat edible to me, but I honestly don't know if eating it would be a good idea. If this was a proper contribution I would make the effort to try and look it up... ugh... now I am kinda curious myself!
