Stone upon stone,
time built its shelter here.
Walls leaning into the wind,
roofs bending under the patience of years.
The water does not hurry—
it only mirrors,
holding the town like an old secret
that refuses to fade.
Somewhere between shadow and light,
voices once echoed,
feet once crossed these narrow streets.
Now only silence lingers,
settling like dust
in the corners of history.
Yet the houses remain,
rooted in their quiet testimony,
whispering to the waves:
we were here,
we are still here.
