I like both scenarios -- careful beforehand planning and preparing the stuff, and the last-minute changes of plan and additions. the only thing i do not like, is finding all the stuff in last minute :)))

you showed us today that one may create a post and find all the needed L stuff simply not going out from kitchen! which is a nice point of view, too.
