I had a little notification from @hivebuzz in a comment... which reminded me that it has, in fact, been four years since the Curator Cat blog was conceived!

It Was Actually the Daughter Hooman...
... who originally said "Since you're blogging again, shouldn't Shadow have his own blog?"
We'd been talking about "Celebrity Cats" on the web, and since her background was in photography, she was a major part of getting us started.
Although she occasionally still contributes a photo or two, today it's mostly the Mom-Hooman (@cosmictriage) and the Dad-Hooman (@denmarkguy) who help me keep up with my blogging!
Although I have mastered the art of standing on the computer keyboard, nobody really seems to understand my typing... so it's good that I have Hooman assistants!
Like all good cats, I love my sunshine!
Four Years is a Pretty Long Time!
So here we are! We've kept the Curator Cat blog current and active for FOUR YEARS! That's quite a long time, in "Cat Years!"
And it has been — and continues to be — a lot of fun!
Cat photography presents its own set of challenges, and even after all this time we maintain a ratio of about 20 shots of "cat blur" for every decent photo!
Along the way, we've had appearances by my former housemate BeBe (who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge) and now we have 14-year old Smudge making the occasional guest appearance.
There's always interesting dtuff outside the window!
The Hive Cats Community!
Along the way, we've taken on various challenges, and tried to do our part to promote and support "Cat Content" on Hive.
I think it's important to have cats represented — after all, we are the informal mascots of the Internet, so we should also be represented on the blockchain... where we can offer a broad-appeal counterpoint to technical, crypto and blockchain content.
Anyway, shortly after Hive forked to its new home, we started the Hive Cats Community which is now 175 subscribers strong and growing! If you love cats, why not check us out?

Towards the Future: Goals and Aspirations
Well, I don't really have any big plans to take over the world, but we do want to keep the blog going, and to continue building Hive Cats!
In general, though, I'm just grateful to be part of this amazing community!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.
Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
