I'm getting very predictable
Yep, you guessed it, It's Saturday again folks meaning that a few like-minded beer enthusiasts under the expert stewardship of the main man @detlev share some beers of the world. You might even get a story, a joke, a rundown of a great night out or an even better night in, just check out the #beersaturday tag.
Tuesdays and Saturdays are my two favourite days on Hive, Tuesday for #ThreeTuneTuesday and all of the great music we are spoiled with and Saturday for having a few well earned brews.
I am getting a bit predictable now with my weekly tipple. Once again this week, I opted for Guinness, which I always enjoy. My usual drinks of choice are Guinness, IPA or Rioja red win.
World Cup Quarter Finals
So unless, you're living under a rock someplace, you'll know that the world cup quarter finals were on today and yesterday and I've been watching every minute.
Today I got all of my jobs and bits and pieces done around the house, so that I'd be ready for watching the football at 3pm when Morocco were taking on Portugal.
I said I'd treat myself to a creamy pint for the occasion. I was delighted to see the underdog prevail and Morocco made history by becoming the first African team to reach a world cup semi final and it was thoroughly deserved. They played with great heart and determination and were dangerous on the counter and if they had a decent finisher they could have scored 3, but they won't care, as all they needed was the 1, as Ronaldo's Portugal failed to score.
It's starting to look like this may finally by Messi's time to shine on the biggest stage of all, Croatia and Luka Modric may have something to say about that though, only time will tell, I guess.
