Beer is always good in the sun
Am I in Spain again? I'm afraid not. Do I wish that I was? Abso-fuckin-lutely. I'll be there at the end of the month though with some of my best friends. We do a boys trip once a year and this year it's Marbella of for two nights of madness, so I'm certainly looking forward to that. It'll be great to catch up with all the lads and two nights is ideal, as any longer can be tough going on a lads holiday, especially as you get a bit older! It's a different story when you're in your 20s and you could keep going for a week! Not anymore! Two days is more than enough!
So why the Spanish beer post this week then you might be asking? Well,the truth is there was no beers this weekend for me, just had a fairly quiet weekend so far and I'm golfing early tomorrow morning so I won't be drinking any beers tonight. I'm teeing off at 7:00 a.m. which means I'm up just after 6:00 a.m.
At the stage you know that I like to do beer a Beer Saturday Post every week so I didn't want that this week go past without doing one. As such I had to go back to some beers from the past and I found these in my photos reel from the time myself and the family were in Spain back at the end of June/start of July.
Some Indian Grub and a San Miguel
The beer was lovely and cold on this balmy summer's evening in Spain. There's something about Spain that I just love and I'll eventually retire there for 5 or 6 months a year after the kids are all educated and in full time jobs. That may be twenty years away or thereabouts.
Anyway here's a few shots of the beers.
The foods with spot on too. You just can't beat a nice spicy curry with a nice cool beer on a warm Summer's evening. You really can't.
Great resort
We were pretty lucky with this gorgeous resort. Our friends have a place here so they threw us the keys and let us use it for 10 days which was great pretty sweet.
This pool is right next door, as in about 10 paces from their veranda so we were in here every day with the kids who absolutely loved it.
There was a golf course on the resort too which was a lovely place to walk in the evenings. Of course I love my golf but this is a family holiday so I didn't bring the golf clubs and didn't rent any to go and play was happy to just see it from the window in the restaurant and from the villa!
