Finish line in sight
The finish line is finally in sight for my Dry January and I must admit I am pretty proud to have ditched the drink for a full month. When I do drink, to be fair I rarely drink to excess, but I do enjoy a couple of beers with a match or a few nice glasses of Rioja on a Friday night after a busy week at work, so I am looking forward to Wednesday when the 1st of February will be upon us. Now I may not necessarily have a few beers that night, although I might! I will definitely be going for a few this weekend though, a few nice big creamy pints of Guinness and with that in mind, I'll dedicate this post to some nice looking pints of Guinness at pubs and hotels and some nice home poured pints of Guinness at home.
For those who have not been reading my recent posts, I am on Day 28 of my Dry January and going well. I was out for a Gig on December 29th and that's the last time I had a drink, which you guessed it was a few creamy pints of Arthur's finest black stuff. Some of you might be wondering what exactly dry January is?
Dry January is something people in Ireland sometimes do after the festive season where there are many parties and nights out and this year I said I would give Dry January a go myself for the shits and giggles.
