Beer Saturday
7 days have passed. 168 hours have ticked by. 10,080 minutes have a whiled away. 604,800 seconds (woah, not far of 1 million!) have trundled on by since our last installment of Beer Saturday. Here we go again, with a new beer, a new thirst and hopefully some new beer loving readers and posters. As always thanks to @detlev for starting this off and keeping it going over four years later. I've stayed close to home with this week's pick, let's see how it stacks up.
Galway Bay Brewery Full Sail IPA
What they say
The simple malt bill gives an ABV of 5.8% which carries the flavour and really allows the hops to shine through.
The hops used are of American origin, Colombus, El Dorado and Cascade (45 IBU). With multiple generous additions in the kettle and further dry hopped before it reaches you as fresh as it can be.
Beer Art
I like the colours and images used here. They work well against the brown bottle and suit the beer well I feel.

Thoughts
Spicy food met cold beer again this weekend and there was much rejoicing! Last week's foray into town to Xi'an Street Food went down so well last week that we repeated the trick again this week, opting for their signature spice bag and a thai red curry with steamed rice to share. Once again it didn't disappoint and was absolutely spot on. Mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmm, spicy goodness and a cold brew, now you're talking. Ok, this isn't a foodie post, so let's get back to the beer.
Here is the freshly poured cold beer atop my warm range, I kind of liked the juxtaposition of the two, but didn't leave it sitting there too long, after all, who on Earth likes a warm beer!
My bottle of Galway Bay Brewery Full Sail IPA poured a slightly hazy colour and formed a decent foamy white head. Straight away you can taste the resinous piny flavour and distinct hoppiness. On the flavour front grapefruit and lemon are apparent and there is a lasting sharpness to the aftertaste.
Overall, it's a decent beer, but not exceptional. I'd drink it again, but I wouldn't exactly seek it out.
