Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
We've managed to navigate the ups and downs of this past week and have arrived at the weekend. And we all know what that means: Saturday is Caturday!
One of my favorite spots for afternoon sun!
It is a fairly quiet day around our place because the Mom-Hooman left yesterday to go visit the Daughter-Hooman in Seattle, so I am home alone with the Dad-Hooman.
Of course, he has immediately decided to go outside and do some of his gardening work, which I don't understand because it is a very windy and cold day today and not at all summer like.
Doesn't he understand that this is a good day to just lay down in a warm spot and nap?
Humans are silly, and clearly not at all like cats!
Of course, he thought the better of it and came back in when there were a few raindrops!
I don't mind too much, though, because I have my spots and I like the peaceful house at the moment. Smudge has also curled up on her blanket in the other room and we're doing what cats do best: take long naps, punctuated by occasional periods of running crazily through the house!

Meanwhile, in the Cryptosphere...
It seems like — after yet another round of freak outs and down spikes —Bitcoin has somewhat stabilized a bit and is slowly moving up again. Even our own Hive has managed to scratch its way back up to $0.30.
It's a crazy industry we are involved in here; people seem to lose their nerve every time the wind changes!
But I guess that's pretty normal with new things in the world of Hoomans.
Come to think of it, the pattern was pretty much the same when the world first faced the Internet, itself!
Everybody wanted to get on board and see if they could carve themselves out a slice of the amazing potential, but after a few years of people running basically on euphoria and unrealistic expectations, about 95% of the projects people had been chasing ended up becoming no more than a handful of dust.
I'm very glad Hive is built around a bunch of different things people can actually do and use, rather than a bunch of empty promises that will go up in smoke the moment somebody more diligently starts looking at what's under the hood!
Otherwise, there's not much new from our little corner of the world. We have almost arrived at what the Hoomans called "Midsummer"... even though today doesn't feel like summer at all!
I do enjoy the really long days and all the daylight, which gives us increased chances for good sunny spots. The Hoomans don't seem quite as fond of it... particularly when I start walking around on them when they're in bed at 5:00am!
