Curator Cat: Happy Cats Enjoying the October Sunshine!

in Caturdaylast year

Greetings fabulous Felines and Hoomans of greater Hivelandia!

Now we are writing October, and even though it is quite sunny when I look out the window from my favorite window perch, you can also tell that the "growing" season is growing to a close.

Enjoying that sunshine! Happy cat!

As I might have said before, I really like the sunshine in the fall because it is generally lower in the sky, and when the leaves fall, there are more good sunpuddles in the house.

And we cats do love our sun!

I think I saw a bird... RIGHT THERE!

So Now it is October...

We have rolled over to a new month on the Hooman calendar. And we have rolled over to a new "quarter," the Dad-Hooman says.

"Quarters" make more sense to me than "months," because at least they follow the change of the seasons somewhat.

Fall is the time to nestle down and revisit your goals, if you have some.

I'll take sun on my back, when I can get it!

I still have a ways to go with my goals.

I mean, I'm pretty much on target with my napping and birdwatching... but I still have a long way to go to reach my Hive goal of 3,500 Hive Power by the end of 2022.

Not sure I'm going to make that one... unless I can get the Hoomans to spend a whole lot more time helping me with my blog! Goodness knows, they take plenty of pictures of us cats!

Giving the Dad-Hooman my best "supervisor stare" from my basket by the printer!

The Realities of Hoomans...

Seems like one of the realities of Hooman lives that they are almost always "busy." They really ought to learn to chill out and spend more time with fun things like cat blogs!

But maybe I shouldn't be too critical. After all, we've been doing this for over 4 1/2 years, and that's a lot longer than most cat blogs.

So there's that! Still, it would be nice if my Hoomans worried a little less...

Smudge's World...

Smudge is really the most relaxed and laid back being in the household... befitting of a 14-year old lady kitty who's just enjoying her golden years.

Who says cats can't have "retirement?"

Although she's free to wander around, she generally stays in her own space, likely because she's almost completely blind... although her cataracts have seemingly improved since she came to live with us. Good things DO happen!

Well, that's about it for this week's Caturday update. I hope you're has been a good one, and that you have a marvelous Sunday!

=^..^=

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

Wow! Smudge is that old; she doesn’t look old at all. The other one really enjoys warm sunshine!! Happy cats!

Yes, Smudge has aged pretty well. She shows her age because she is almost completely blind in her left eye, and half blind in the right. But otherwise she is in great shape!

=^..^=

I would give her CDS. I’ll give you info later.

Son unos gatitos muy hermosos, esa mirada encantadora y Smudge es muy tranquilo y precioso, deseo para ustedes muchas bendiciones y que pasen un feliz Caturday 🐈‍⬛❤️
