Well, the Lockdown situation since last week getting better, After a sudden increase of corona affect numbers, our State decided to lock down the whole state for a couple of days and also the affected patients were transmitted to hospital isolation centres for treatment and also to keep them away from others.
As usual, my office hasn't opened yet and I am doing Work From Home for my company. Meanwhile, I am still enjoying my quality days at discord. I am mostly active in the Neoxian and mancave server. Mostly, I talk about Splintelands in there and also about other random things.
Talking about Splinterlands, not only I love to play it, but also I like to make blogs on this game. I mainly post vlogs about SL in the Hive and other social media. I also partake in weekly battle challenge and social media curation posts.
Anyways, that reminds me of this week's @Splinterlands challenge post on the SILVERSHIELD WARRIOR! If you are a Splinterlands ADDICT like me, it's obvious that you know about this challenge post where they give one theme every week and we write a quality post on it and stand a chance to get curated by team Splinterlands.
This week, the theme is to write an awesome article on the new dragon Reward card SILVERSHIELD WARRIOR! So let's take a deep dive into Splinterlands and meet with our challenger, The first defender of truth and freedom, Sir SILVERSHIELD WARRIOR!
The Warriors of the Silver Shield are the first line of defence for Khmyeria. They live simple lives, ready to be deployed at any moment, even though most of their missions are trivial errands. When a battalion of Warriors is deployed, the tips of their spears often find trouble where there is none.
Level 1- In its initial level, it carries 1 melee attack with 3 health, 1 armour and 1 speed. It brings decent attack power with it and also possesses the Reach ability.Level 4- At level 4, it carries 2 melee attack at 2 speed, 2 armour and 4 health. It becomes a decent reach card for this 2 melee attack.Level 10- At max level, It possesses 3 melee attack with 7 health, 3 armour at 2 speed.

With this ability, the monster can do melee attacks from the second position in the line-up.

Currently, SilverShield Warrior is placed at 0.032$ per BCX and this is also a max one (379 BCX) at 12.00$ which is a lucrative prize for a neutral reach monster. The 1 BCX will cost you around 0.12$ (236 DEC) currently where you can grab that max one for 22,931 DEC.
Not long ago, I bought an Alpha SilverShield Warrior max from the market because I somehow thought this card can be useful in low mana or Little Leagues matches. Its performance in small mana matches is quite fruitful and I already started to love this card.

RulesetSo, It was a dual ruleset as below...
Heavy Hitters( All monsters will get Knock Out ability).
Melee Mayhem( Melee monsters can attack from any position).
It's a medium mana match and I shall go for the life summoner Tyrus Palladium deck with a group of melee monsters and the warrior also of course.
At this ruleset, I will not think hard, as I am going to use all melee attack monsters, after choosing Tyrus and SS Warrior, I will be left with only 23 mana and I have to choose it wisely. I decided to choose a gigantic defence at the front and my important monsters at back.

COCATRICE
I chose COCATRICE in the first place because of it's Flying and Evade ability. I have a level 7 and it has 1 melee attack at 6 speed and 4 health. It also possesses 2 abilities as stated below.
Flying- With this ability, the monster will get fewer hits from melee and ranged non-flying enemies.Evade- Has a chance to evade melee and ranged attacks from enemies.
GOBLIN MECH
I chose GOBLIN MECH in the second place because of its high health with armour with piercing ability. I have a max level and it has 6 melee attack at 3 speed, 7 armour and 8 health. It also possesses 2 abilities as stated below.
Stun- With this ability, while attacking, the monster will get a chance to apply stun on the enemy making him disabled for 1 round.Piercing- With this ability, when it breaks the armour completely, the excess attack will damage its health by piercing.
SILVERSHIELD WARRIOR
I chose SILVERSHIELD WARRIOR in the third place because of its high health with armour with piercing ability. I have a level 9 active here and it has 3 melee attack at 2 speed, 3 armour and 6 health. It also possesses 1 abilitiy as stated below.
Reach- With this ability, the monster can do melee attacks from the second position in the line-up.
ARMORSMITH
I chose ARMORSMITH in the fourth place because of its high melee attack and repair ability. I have a level 9 and it has 3 melee attack at 4 speed and 3 health. It also possesses 1 ability as stated below.
Repair- With this ability, the monster can repair a portion of the armour of any friendly monster having most damage.
SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT
I chose SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT in the fifth place because of its high melee attack and Inspire ability. I have a level 8 and it has 3 melee attack at 5 speed, 2 armour and 6 health. It also possesses 3 abilities as stated below.
Inspire- With this ability, the friendly monsters get +1 melee attack.Piercing- With this ability, when it breaks the armour completely, the excess attack will damage its health by piercing.Trample- With this ability, if it kills the monster, it does an extra attack to the monster next in line.
CRYSTAL WEREWOLF
I chose CRYSTAL WEREWOLF in the last place because of its high health and Thrones ability. I have a level 8 and it has 2 melee attack at 4 speed and 7 health. It also possesses 2 abilities as stated below.
Silence- With this ability, the enemy monsters get -1 magic attack.Thrones- With this ability, when a melee enemy monster attacks it, gets damage back.

Well, the match was very unpredictable guys buy my Warrior and others have fought well with me on the battlefield. The opponent also used a good Life deck on me as you can see from the screenshot above. But I was simply lucky that I won this one.

- My opponent @savageduels used Life summoner Tyrus against me.
- At the front position, he used Shieldbarrier lev 8. He chose a jumbo defence to his front and I just hope I get able to kill this high armour+HP beast with my soldiers.
- At the second position, he used Angel Of Light level 4.
- At the third position, he puts ENCHANTED DEFENDER lev 9.
- At the fourth position, he chose Feral Spirit lev 10.
- At the fifth position, he chose Elvin Cutthroat lev 10.
- At the last position, he chose TRUTHSPEAKER lev 1.
Well, I was quite unsure about the outcome of this battle. When I went to fight with my SS Warrior, I got a message that the game will get closed within 10 minutes for updates. I really did hurry. On my first ranked match, I saw that this one is suitable for using Life monsters. As I won the battle, so fast I saved the battle link and also some screenshots I required.
Talking about the lineup, my opponent used a good number of max monsters on me. I admit i fear Shieldbarrier because it is very hard to kill him down, but somehow my melee monsters got the job done.
The opponent's double sneak attack also made worried me a bit, but my Wolf with his Thrones did a great job on that matter.
The Silvershild Warrior was chosen at the middle to protect those 2 monsters next in line, Armorsmith and Silvershield Knight. The knight is giving me +1 melee attack so I have to protect him till the last. Same goes for Armorsmith who is giving high melee damage comparing his mana cost and also the repair ability.
