Why not switch to Davinci? I don't know if auto-subtitles are free (probably not), but a 300€ one-time payment for a lifetime license is a steal compared to what you get with the software :P
Davinci free version is pretty good to be honest, but it is a bit too complicated for simple stuff. I didn't use it for a while now, so not even sure do they have an option for auto captions (pretty big for shorts)
Yeah they have one and it is pretty powerful but the individual word formatting is not in there- if you know what I mean. Also they made huge progress in the cut page so its way easier than let's say 1-2 years ago :)
